Complex problem solving is a new research direction in the field of problemsolving.Complex chemical problem-solving can promote the chemical core literacy of senior high school students.Chemical complex problem-solving has become a new round of chemical curriculum reform.Starting from the characteristics of complex problems and chemical core literacy,this study developed a questionnaire for complex chemical problems,carried out actual measurement on the subjects,and combined with in-depth interviews on typical subjects,explored the relationship between the characteristics of complex chemical problems,the knowledge content contained in complex chemical problems and the difficulty of complex problems.On the basis of integrating and combing the relevant literature,this study defines the concept and connotation of complex chemical problems,defines seven characteristics of complex chemical problems after combining the relevant opinions of experts,and then compiles a questionnaire of complex chemical problems according to the relevant concepts.After the subjects were determined,the questionnaire with complex chemical problems was carried out among the senior two students of two ordinary high schools in Jining City,Shandong Province.At the end of the survey,the researchers immediately recovered the questionnaire and reviewed it according to the scoring standards of complex chemical problems,and got the questionnaire answers of 241 students.Based on the grade ranking,chemistry score and the answers to the questionnaire,combined with the recommendation of the head teacher and the chemistry teacher,six interviewees were selected.The six interviewees were interviewed by using the voice thinking method,and the recorded content was translated into oral materials.Combined with the answers to the questionnaire,the impact of different characteristics on students' problem-solving was explored.The results show that:(1)there is a non-linear relationship between the number of characteristics of complex chemical problems and the difficulty of problems;(2)the core characteristic of complex chemical problems with high difficulty coefficient is that the problems contain knowledge beyond the scope of chemical curriculum standards;(3)the type and level of knowledge content will affect the difficulty of complex chemical problems.The innovations of this study are as follows:(1)the questionnaire for complex chemical problems provides a new tool for the study of complex problems.(2)It is innovative to put forward the relationship between the characteristics of complex problems,the knowledge content of complex problems and the difficulty of problems,which provides a theoretical basis for the compilation of complex chemical problems.
