Mathematics competition,an important part of the middle school mathematics education,has the education functions of discovering,selecting,and cultivating mathematical talents.As one of the hot issues of mathematics competition,inequality is also one of the important contents of the middle school mathematics and modern mathematics.Therefore,it is an important way to enrich the theory of mathematics competition to study systematically the problem-solving process of inequalities in mathematics contest.So far,the theory of pattern recognition for solving mathematical problem has been studied deeply at home and abroad.On this basis,the dissertation adopts the method of literature research,questionnaire,and interview,combined with the inequality contest questions in domestic and foreign mathematics competitions,to study and discuss the process of solving inequalities in mathematics competition based on the pattern recognition theory.This study mainly contains the following aspects:Firstly,the current researches on inequalities in mathematics competitions and pattern recognition of mathematical problem-solving were summarized,and the research achievements of these two aspects were combed in this dissertation.In addition,the theories related to this research were sorted out,and on this basis,the concept of pattern and pattern recognition of inequality problem-solving in mathematics competition were defined.Secondly,the pattern recognition of inequality problem solving in mathematics competition was studied theoretically.This dissertation classified the pattern of inequality problem solving in mathematics competition and expounded the properties of the pattern.The specific operation process and influential factors of pattern recognition for inequality problem solving in mathematics competition were analyzed.The pattern recognition of inequality problem solving in mathematics competition was divided horizontally.Furthermore,according to the relationship between the problem solving and the proposition,the inequality competition questions were compiled from the perspective of pattern recognition.There are three self-made questions and four adapted questions based on the original questions.Finally,combined with the theoretical analysis of pattern recognition for inequality problem solving in mathematics competition,this dissertation investigated the students' status of pattern recognition for inequality problem solving in mathematics competition by designing questionnaires.The cognitive process of students' pattern recognition for inequality problem solving in mathematics competition was investigated through interviews,and the level and existing problems of students' pattern recognition in solving inequality problem in mathematics competition were qualitatively analyzed.Based on the analysis of the survey results,some suggestions for teachers and students are put forward to cultivate students' ability of pattern recognition in solving problem and improve their level of pattern recognition in solving inequality problem in mathematics competition.It is of great significance to introduce the theory of pattern recognition into the field of inequality in mathematics competition and systematically apply the existing research results to the process of solving inequality in mathematics competition,which will enrich the theory of mathematics competition and provide solving strategies for the problem solvers.
