Research On The Application Of Mind Mapping To The Exercise Of Physical Mechanics And Electromagnetism In Senior High School

Mind mapping presents semantics in radial network form,connects a large amount of information orderly,and emphasizes the structure between information.Mind mapping is usually applied to sort out subject knowledge in the stage of middle school.The problems of mechanics and electromagnetism are highly comprehensive in senior high school.Students need to have the ability of divergent thinking and logical thinking on the basis of mastering physical concepts.The core quality of physics is emphasized in senior high school.Mind mapping is an efficient summary tool.The problem-solving ideas of mechanics and electromagnetism exercises can be classified by mind mapping.Mind mapping was introduced into the teaching of mechanics and electromagnetism exercises in senior high school.In order to improve students' problem-solving ability and develop students' scientific thinking,a better integration method of exercise teaching and mind mapping has been explored in practice.22 kinds of mechanical exercises and 16 kinds of electromagnetic exercises are sorted out using mind mapping according to the characteristics of physical exercises.The designed teaching cases were constantly improved in practice to make mind mapping better used in the teaching of mechanics and electromagnetic exercises.At the same time,the rationality of teaching cases has been improved through questionnaire,exercise tests and interview.Through the analysis of students' questionnaire,mind mapping can be skillfully used by students to sum up mechanical and electromagnetic exercises.The homogeneity of variance test and t test were carried out on the test scores of exercises in experimental class and control ones.The results show that,compared with traditional exercise teaching,the application of mind mapping teaching shows better practical results.The exercise method about mind mapping has been applied for three months in a senior school.The experimental classes in grade one and grade two have gotten more 4.01 scores and 5.15 scores than the control ones on the average test scores.It shows that the use of mind mapping can improve students' physical performance and develop their core competencies in physics.According to the interview with physics teachers,the application of mind mapping in the teaching of force and electromagnetism exercises is positive and helpful to exercise teaching.Besides,teachers also said that this exercise teaching method will be tried in their future teaching.
