With the implementation of curriculum reform, the society has higher and higher requirements for the professionalism of teachers, and the most direct way for novice teachers to grow up quickly is to shorten the gap between them and expert teachers as much as possible. Therefore, this paper compares the classroom teaching of two high school math teachers(a novice teacher and an expert teacher)of "Ellipse and its Standard Equations" and "Hyperbolic Curves. The four new sections were selected to conduct a comparative study about classroom teaching sessions, classroom introduction, classroom questions, mathematical tasks and teaching media. And SPSS statistical analysis of students' performance in the two classes. The research was done as follows.First of all,the relevant literature of the comparative research of novices and expert teachers was summarized. Then, the video analysis method is used to record the classroom and organize the text, select the required coding system for classroom teaching comparison research, and then compare and analyze the overall and hierarchical statistical comparisons of the students' grades in the two classes.Through the above research,it is concluded that in terms of classroom teaching,(1)the teaching process was basically the same, but there were differences in the time allocation of each link. The novice teacher allocated more time to practice and consolidation;(2)the novice teacher was introduced in a more casual way;(3)the total number of classroom questions of the two types of teachers was quite different, but the novice teacher designed more managerial, prompt and repetitive questions, and the expert teacher designed more comprehension questions;(4)the proportion of high-cognitive level tasks designed by the novice teacher was not much, and in the process of organizing and implementing tasks, the high-level tasks were almost all reduced to low-cognitive tasks. As for the expert teacher, there was a small number of high-level tasks that were declined to low-level tasks in the process of organization and implementation;(5)the novice teacher often used multimedia teaching, while the expert teacher used traditional teaching methods. In terms of student achievement, through the overall and hierarchical statistical analysis of grades,it was found that there was no significant difference between the test scores of the two classes, but there was a significant difference in the grades of students grouped in the class. The differences in teaching were analyzed and corresponding suggestions were provided in this paper.Novice teachers should carry out imitation learning and after-class reflection, and at the same time participate in targeted post-employment teaching training to improve their teaching ability, while expert teachers should participate in multimedia technology teaching training to continue to improve themselves. At the same time,I hope that more students and parents will give new teachers enough patience and confidence.
