Research On The Status Quo And Influencing Factors Of Children's Electronic Media Use In The New Media Era

With the advent of the era of artificial intelligence,the emerging electronic media with multimedia and high-tech performance have gradually entered children's life.At the same time,mobile phones,television and other media have an important impact on children's life,and the media environment is becoming an important environmental variable affecting children's development.Ecosystem theory emphasizes the systematic analysis of the impact of different levels of environmental factors on children,while the research on the impact of media on children lags behind the development speed of media.In recent years,the young age of children exposed to electronic media makes them enter the virtual space of the network early.In the current environment,how to guide children to use electronic media has become the focus of social attention.By exploring the basic situation and influencing factors of children's use of electronic media,this study provides direction for cultivating children's positive media literacy and helping parents in kindergartens and families guide children's scientific use of electronic media.In this study,468 parents of children were selected as the survey objects to deeply understand the current situation of children's use of new and traditional electronic media by issuing the questionnaire on children's use of electronic media.Use spss25 0 analyze the data obtained,and interview 10 parents and 10 children to explore the influencing factors of children's use of electronic media.Finally,the following conclusions are drawn:1.Smart phones are the main types of electronic media used by children,mainly for entertainment and education.2.Parents' attitudes towards children's use of electronic media show a trend of polarization,and there are still deviations in parents' management of children's use of electronic media.3.Young children use electronic media at a younger age,with more frequency and time;Children from urban,low socio-economic status families and United families tend to use electronic media for a long time and high frequency.4.Rural children tend to use smart phones and TV media,mainly entertainment content,and most of them passively receive media information;The emerging electronic media used by urban children are rich in types,contact with partial knowledge content,and can make better use of the media for their use.5.The overall score of children's use of electronic media is below medium,with the highest score in time management and the lowest score in interpersonal relationship.Among them,there are significant differences in children's use of electronic media in demographic variables such as children's age,parents' educational background,family structure,parents' employment status and family monthly income.6.The main influencing factors of children's electronic media use include family structure,parents' media use habits,parents' attitudes towards media use,peer groups,social environment and other factors.According to the above conclusions,based on the two levels of family and kindergarten,this study puts forward suggestions from the aspects of children's rational use of electronic media and forming good media use habits,so as to work together for children to build a new childhood life under electronic media.
