Currently,the use of digital media appears a low age tendency.But as most parents of children lack of scientific understanding of the impacts that digital media has on preschoolers development,the behaviors of preschoolers digital media usage are not good and generate little effect.This article will explore the impacts that the use of digital media has on the development of preschoolers and its determinant factors,enriches and develops digital media use and preschoolers development research theory,then guides parents of children or caregivers,kindergarten teachers etc.And effectively handle all kinds of issues that they will face during the use of digital media by preschoolers,uses digital media to promote preschoolers development on the condition that preschoolers' digital life and real life has achieved balance.This article will accomplish above research aims from three views,three levels of researches.From the view of international education empirical study researchers,chapter 2 do a qualitative analysis on the 61 empirical research thesis on the SSCI and then from theoretical perspective ascertains the impacts that the use of digital media has on the development of preschoolers and its determinant factors.Integrating the main research conclusions of chapter 2 and from the view of parents of children,chapter 3 ascertains the impacts that the use of digital media has on the development of preschoolers and its determinant factors from social practical application status level by doing statistics and analyzing the data of 528 domestic preschoolers family current application situation of digital media questionnaire.Chapter 4 will do an argument on the disputed conclusions in the second and third researches results.From the view of empirical researchers and focus on preschoolers emergent literacy development,chapter 4 ascertains the impacts that the use of digital media has on the development of preschoolers and its determinant factors from empirical research level,trough a "digital media promotes preschoolers early literacy development" experimental study and case study in which forty-eight 3.8 to 4.5 years of children and their parents,kindergarten teachers participated.By a comprehensive analysis of the research results of above three concrete researches,the research conclusions of this article can be concluded to below four points.(1)The impacts of the use of digital media has on preschoolers development are all-sided,it' s mainly influences four children development fields:physical development,social and emotional development,cognitive development,language development.Among them,the most prominent impacts are on the three sub-domains:preschooler's emergent literacy development,cognitive development,motor skill development.(2)The acquaintance towards the extent of the positive impact,concrete domains of negative impact that the use of digital media has on preschoolers development between international education empirical study and parents of children is different.The reason is that the results of empirical study is based on specially designed digital media and its application activity while the cognition of parents of children is based on observation and experience and consensus.(3)The determinant factors of the use of digital media's influences on preschoolers'development include children characteristic,digital media characteristic,external environment three major factors.Among them,children characteristic factor includes child's gender,age,and original cognitive or experience,or experience,healthy status,digital media characteristic includes digital media type and its pattern of manifestation,content,man-machine connection and its design,the application of educational method in digital media.The external environments are same as the influential factors that have been included in Bronfenbrenner Ecological Model.These determinant factors have four major characteristics:Multidimensional hierarchy,integrality,dynamic interaction,individual variation.The relation ship between them is nonlinearity and bidirectional influences.The widespread use of digital media makes the external environment factor 's influence on preschoolers development faster and more directly.(4)The most critical external determinant factors of the use of digital media's influences on preschoolers is the adults who can give children supports and helps.The quality and time of the use of digital media which are mainly determined by children and adults who can give children supports and helps determine the final consequences that the use of digital media has on preschoolers'development.The innovations of this article are embodied in two aspects.Theoretically,this study ascertains the impacts that the use of digital media has on the development of preschoolers and its determinant factors.To some extent,this study enriches and develops the Bronfenbrenner Ecological Model.Practically,this study updated ecological model and recommendations,can provides decision-making for vast parents of children or caregivers,teachers,related organization etc and then effectively achieves the balance between preschoolers digital life and real life,applies digital media to promote the development of preschoolers.
