A Survey Report On Happiness Of Craft Freelancers

In recent years,the popularity of handicrafts has increased,and the work of freelancers has also grown in popularity.When human craftsmanship encountered a freelance job that bid farewell to the 9-to-5 job,a brand-new niche profession—handicraft freelance was born.While working in this seemingly happy job,craft freelancers also face a lot of survival pressure.This research’s primary goal is to investigate the happiness of this group.This research uses the literature research method to collect theories and research status related to happiness,then measures the happiness of the group by questionnaire and interview methods.Nest,the relationships between the happiness of different dimensions of the group and related variables were analyzed.According to the results of the data analysis,the samples were interviewed to dig out the factors related to their happiness.This research first introduces the categories and development of modern handicrafts,combined with the background of the Internet,leads to the survival form of handicraft freelancers.Secondly,this research briefly sorts out the related theories and research status of happiness,and provides theoretical support for the analysis of the results of the subsequent research on the happiness of craft freelancers.Next,this research uses the questionnaire research method to collect the basic information（age,gender,region,highest education,marital status,number of children,monthly household income,housing situation,crafting years,crafting category daily hand-making time,manual monthly income）and the scale of happiness in seven dimensions（life satisfaction,family emotional support,family behavior support,job variety,work autonomy,work performance feedback,work task clarity）of 197 handicraft freelancers.After that,describing statistics,ANOVA and T-Test analysis were performed,and the wellbeing dimensions with significant differences were screened out for analysis.Finally,based on the results of the research,suggestions are made to help improve the happiness of craft freelancers.This research found the following conclusions:Handicraft freelancers without a spouse or young age lack emotional support from their families.Whether it is monthly family income or handicraft monthly income,the higher the income,the higher the overall happiness of handicraft freelancers.About 20 %of handicraft freelancers have a difficult life.Happiness is affected by the way of living:the life satisfaction of handicraft freelancers who rent a house and live with their parents is lower than that of handicraft freelancers living in self-purchased houses.Job satisfaction is relatively higher with the craft freelancers with longer daily craft time and craft years.Different craftsmanship types,age,and children’s conditions have no significant impact on the happiness of crafts freelancers.This research fills a research gap for the niche group of craft freelancers,provides research data for those who are eager to join the ranks,and provides reference suggestions for craft freelancers to improve their well-being.
