Science in primary school is a comprehensive course,while biology in junior high school is a branch course.There must be some differences between them in teaching objectives,teaching difficulties and teaching methods.The field of " life sciences" in primary school science is the foundation of learning junior high school biology,and junior high school biology is the extension and expansion of " life sciences" in primary school science.Therefore,the teaching connection between junior middle school and primary school is an educational issue worthy of attention.In order to clarify the connection points and problems between biology in junior middle school and Science in primary school,and further give teaching suggestions for teachers,this study uses the methods of literature research,comparative analysis,questionnaire survey,case analysis and interview to study the "botany" part of Biology(Volume 1 of Grade 7)published by the people’s Education Edition and Science published by the Soviet education edition,and draws the following conclusions: there is a high consistency between the primary school science curriculum standard and the junior middle school biology curriculum standard.There are some similarities and extensions in the arrangement of teaching materials between biology(Volume 1 of Grade 7)in junior middle school and Science in primary school.In terms of knowledge content,take the relevant parts of "botany" as an example for comparative analysis,and find the connection point.The results of the survey of teachers and students show that teachers in both stages agree that primary school scientific knowledge plays a certain basic role in students’ learning biological knowledge,but the awareness of connection is not enough.Few teachers conduct in-depth research on each other’s courses,and pay less attention to the connection of content in the teaching process.Most students recognize that the knowledge of "botany" in primary school science is helpful to the study of relevant contents of Biology(Volume 1 of Grade 7),but the impression of students on the content of "botany" in primary school science is not ideal,which reflects that students have forgotten scientific knowledge.Finally,the study puts forward several suggestions conducive to teaching cohesion,including enhancing teachers’ awareness of teaching cohesion,realizing the cohesion of teaching methods,helping students adapt to junior middle school life,strengthening the communication between primary and secondary school teachers,and strengthening the construction of professional teachers.Four teaching connection cases are given,after the application in teaching practice,12 students with different foundations were randomly selected from the class to conduct interviews.The results show that it is feasible and necessary to connect the teaching of the two courses.
