In the new curriculum reform,according to the characteristics of chemistry,five core qualities of chemistry are put forward,which points out the direction for the reform and development of chemistry curriculum.Unit teaching pays attention to the logical relationship between knowledge.Through the integration and design of knowledge,units with integrity,comprehensiveness and systematicness are gradually formed,which can effectively implement the core literacy of chemistry discipline.Therefore,unit teaching has gradually become the focus of teaching reform.“The mystery of material composition”belongs to the key and difficult point of Chemistry Teaching in Grade 9.It is not only the key to construct chemical concepts from macro to micro,but also the first differentiation point of chemistry learning.Based on the connotation of the core quality of chemistry,the requirements of grade 9 Curriculum Standards and teaching materials,combined with the actual learning situation,this study integrates the teaching content,and constructs a large unit teaching design reflecting the new curriculum concepts such as Situational Cognition and the integration of “teaching,learning and evaluation”.The following characteristics are embodied in the teaching design: constructing a large situation,connecting with daily concepts and establishing scientific concepts;The integration of “teaching,learning and evaluation”,goal orientation and Realization of thinking collision;The overall design of the unit shall be carried out step by step to disperse the difficulties;The combination of macro and micro,multiple representations,promote understanding.The teaching sequence of the unit teaching design of “the mystery of material composition”is adjusted to four hours: element atom and electron arrangement outside atomic nucleus molecule.The results of teaching practice show that the results of the experimental class are significantly higher than those of the control class,indicating that the unit teaching under the core quality of chemistry has achieved some results.Carrying out large unit teaching can not only make up for the problems of discontinuous content and fragmented knowledge points in class teaching,but also integrate knowledge through the basic concepts of chemistry,highlight the key points and disperse the difficult points,and improve the classroom efficiency.Unit teaching pays more attention to the creation of large situations,stimulates students’ interest in learning,reduces students’ learning obstacles,improves understanding and realizes in-depth learning through Situational Cognition.In addition,through the integrated teaching of “teaching,learning and evaluation”,we can change the appearance of classroom teaching,stimulate students’ learning initiative and enthusiasm,improve learning motivation and form metacognitive awareness. |
