Art class in primary school is an important way to carry out aesthetic education for students.Its key lies in improving students' interest in learning,which plays an important role in cultivating students' imagination and creativity.The Art Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education sets learning objectives in four aspects: modeling and expression,design and application,appreciation and comment,and comprehensive exploration.Watercolor painting belongs to the course of "Modeling Expression".Picture books created by watercolor painting can better stimulate students' desire for painting creation by virtue of beautiful pictures,rich details,vivid line changes,rigorous composition ratio and concise language,and play an increasingly important role in improving primary school students' interest in art learning.According to the analysis of pupils' learning situation and understanding ability,the combination of watercolor painting and picture books in primary school art education is beneficial to students' mastery,so that students can actively participate in the classroom and experience the fun brought by watercolor materials and picture book creation.This paper studies the application of water painting books in primary school art classes from five aspects.The first part discusses the characteristics and definitions of water painting books.The second part introduces the significance of watercolor picture books in primary school art classroom teaching from five aspects;The third part expounds the content design and development strategy of watercolor picture books;The fourth part,based on the author's actual teaching in primary schools,explores the concrete application and methods of watercolor picture books in art classes,sums up the experience in teaching practice,and reflects on it,as well as relevant coping strategies.The fifth part summarizes the application of watercolor picture books in teaching and looks forward to the future.This paper plays a certain reference role in the introduction of watercolor picture book creation into primary school art classroom,and plays a positive role in promoting the new standard of aesthetic education "to improve students' aesthetic and humanistic quality" and "to enhance students' imagination and creativity".
