With the rapid development of the new generation of information technology and the coming of the era of high-quality development,we must pay more attention to the cultivation of the aesthetic ability and design and creation ability of teenagers in China.The connection and integration between design discipline and other disciplines has become an important way to cultivate high-quality compound talents and design innovation today.Nowadays,with the continuous development and innovation of design education,we should pay more attention to the problems of design education,seizing the opportunity of interdisciplinary integration,rationally setting up the teaching methods of design education curriculum,and promoting the integrated development of design education and other subjects in primary and secondary schools.The interdisciplinary exploration of design discipline in China has just begun,and its teaching scope,teaching methods,teaching objects,textbook design,curriculum setting and other problems remain to be solved.There is little related research,and it is difficult to form a systematic knowledge system.The discussion on the integrated development of design and education can provide some reference for the interdisciplinary exploration of design,clarify the boundary between design and pedagogy and other disciplines,and analyze the estrangement between disciplines.Based on pedagogical theories such as "Zone of Proximal Development" and "Learning scaffold",this paper takes comprehensive practical activity courses as the carrier and combines STEAM curriculum design to construct spatial thinking learning scaffold,and explores the intersection and integration between design science,pedagogy and other disciplines by applying it to practical classes,to better integrate the training of design ability,design thinking ability and spatial thinking ability into the basic education classroom.As a comprehensive way of thinking in the interdisciplinary field,spatial thinking is helpful to break the barriers between disciplines,help learners to cross the "boundaries" of disciplines,actively seek cooperation between disciplines and solve practical problems.Through the interdisciplinary integration of marginal disciplines,we can find the differences and interconnections between disciplines on the basis of the knowledge of original disciplines,and deepen the communication and understanding between disciplines.Through the consolidation and application of disciplinary knowledge,the relevant knowledge can be expanded and extended.In this way,the subjects can be better integrated in problem solving and further developed on the basis of the original subjects.The new forms of design education development in the new era are discussed and the theoretical system for the future development of design education is provided as a reference.
