In recent years, malicious crimes and injury accidents are constantly taking place in some primary and secondary schools, which have threatened the students’ life safety and resulted in some distressing situations and irreparable damages. The life safety of students is not only related to the happiness of each family, but also related to the future of our country. Thus in order to ensure students’ life safety and social stability, schools are obligated to carry out the instruction spirit of school security proposed by the education department,be profoundly aware of the importance of school security, set up the idea of life safety education and take effective methods to combine life safety education with physical education(PE).In this way, PE can undertake the responsibility for life safety education as well as the protection of teenagers. Therefore, it has become an important task for the current and the period of time in the future that the education reform of PE curriculum should be deepened and the teaching staff of life safety education be trained.By adopting the methods of documentary analysis, questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics, this paper takes pedagogy, physical education, psychology, ethnics, sociology, etc. as its theoretical basis, and surveys 152 primary and secondary schools in Henan Province to investigate the current situation and teaching staff of the primary and secondary schools’ life safety education in different areas of Henan Province.And it aims at the combination of PE and life safety education as well as the cultivation of teaching staff who can undertake both the teaching of PE classes and the education of life safety. Besides, it also provides references for the policy enactment of PE teaching staff’s training from the vision of life safety education by all levels of governments and the education administration department. Moreover, it can provide a teaching staff team for the insert of PE into the life safety education in primary and secondary schools to find the concrete undertakers and performers for the unordered life safety education, which is both beneficial for the targeted reinforcement of the professional quality of the teaching staff and for the concern about students’ life safety in primary and secondary schools from the perspective of cultivation of teaching staff.The cultivation of the teaching staff who have both knowledge and skills on life safety education will not only need the explicit guiding ideology and basic principles but also the effective cultivation patterns. We have to comprehensively implement the party’s education policy, conscientiously implement the education and talent planning outline, follow the development rules of education and teachers’ growth, and cultivate teaching staff with knowledge and skills of life safety education. To build a teaching staff team with solid conviction according to the principles of “teacher’s ethics first” and "practice first", pertinence principle and innovative principles. During the cultivation of teaching staff, flexibly use the patterns of long-term cultivation, short-term cultivation and the combination of long-term and short-term cultivation, in order to build a teaching staff team applicable to the need of life safety education of primary and secondary school students.
