The college entrance examination is the most sensitive and complex issue in the entire education field.Every major change in the college entrance examination system will attract widespread attention of the whole society. With the reform of the college entrance examination mode, the chemistry examination paper has changed from the multi-disciplinary mixed paper to the single-disciplinary paper, and the focus of the examination has changed from the subject knowledge to the core literacy. At the same time, the Ministry of Education has also put forward higher requirements for the quality of examination questions. In order to better formulate chemistry questions under the new examination mode,we need to extensively absorb the excellent experience in the formulation of examination questions at home and abroad. But at present, there is a lack of systematic and in-depth research on the characteristics of foreign chemistry questions, especially the lack of a more comprehensive understanding of the differences between domestic and foreign chemistry questions. In order to solve this problem, this paper conducted a multi-dimensional comparative study of domestic and foreign chemistry questions in the college entrance examination. The author firstly sorts out the analytical dimensions of domestic and foreign examination questions research, constructs the analytical framework of the comparative study of chemistry questions on the basis of the literature, and then uses this framework to make coding statistics and comparative analysis of National I chemistry questions,A-level chemistry questions and IB chemistry questions. The study is mainly carried out from two aspects:(1)make a comparative analysis of the paper structure of National I examination paper,A-level examination paper and IB examination paper, including the composition of the examination paper, the number of questions, the examination time, the available tools and so on;(2)make a comparative analysis of the characteristics of National I examination questions,A-level examination questions and IB examination questions, including the intention of the questions(that is,the knowledge content and disciplinary competence examined by the questions),the context of the questions(that is,the context type and the information presentation form of the questions),the setting of questions(that is,the way of answering the questions). It is found that: in terms of the paper structure, there are differences in the number of papers, examination time, available tools and so on among National I examination paper,A-level examination paper and IB examination paper. In terms of the characteristics of the examination questions,National I examination questions are narrow in knowledge but difficult in thinking, focusing on memorizing the property and inferring the reaction from the phenomenon, rarely involving the analysis and explanation at the theoretical level.Besides, the contextual degree of the National I examination questions is higher;the context type of the National I examination questions is more diverse;but there is a lack of examination of the complete inquiry process. In contrast,A-level and IB examination questions are wide in knowledge but less difficult in thinking, focusing on explaining the property and predicting the reaction from the theory, emphasizing the analysis and explanation at the theoretical level, and attaching great importance to the examination of the complete inquiry process. Finally, based on the conclusions, some suggestions are put forward for the formulation of chemistry questions under the new college entrance examination mode in our country.
