Under the background of the new curriculum reform,in order to cultivate diverse talents,improve the comprehensive quality of students,and make teaching better serve students,teachers need to combine the characteristics of students at different levels to propose new teaching models or optimize existing teaching models at home and abroad,highlight the subjectivity of students,and make teaching keep up with the pace of new curriculum reforms.The guidance case reflects the idea of learning first and then teaching,which can cultivate students' self-learning ability.The “5E” teaching mode contains the way of thinking from problem discovery,exploration to solution,which can cultivate students' core biological literacy.The integration of the two has research value.Based on the related literatures,the high school biology guidance case as the research object,the study analyzed the problems and causes of the guidance case in the practical application process through the investigation of the current situation.On the basis of perfecting this model,the high school biology guidance case was designed with the “5E” teaching model as the core,and the main points of its design were put forward,taking compulsory 1 Molecules and Cells as an example,designed guidance cases based on the “5E” teaching model and apply it in teaching.Through investigation and research,experimental research,case analysis,statistical analysis and other methods to explore the impact of this model on the effect of high school biology teaching,and put forward suggestions for the problems existing in the use of this model.In this study,two homogeneous classes(Class 29 and Class 13)of S High School of a one-semester were selected to carry out comparative analysis.The class 29 was an experimental class,which used the designed guidance case to assist teaching;the class 13 was a control class,which was taught in accordance with the original teaching mode.After the experiment,an independent sample t-test was performed on the final grades of the two classes,and it was concluded that P= 0.028< 0.05,and the average grade of the experimental class was significantly higher than that of the control class.Secondly,some topics in the final exam paper were selected to analyze the students' answering methods.It was found that the students in the experimental class had a deeper understanding of concepts and problems,more comprehensive thinking and more accurate answers.Finally,the results of the questionnaire survey of the students in the experimental class were analyzed,and it was found that most students have a positive attitude towards the “5E” teaching model of the guidance case,and have improved in self-directed learning,cooperative learning,problem discovery and solution,and understanding of core concepts.Through a comprehensive analysis of the above data,I summarized the advantages and disadvantages of the biological guidance case under this model.Long-term use of the “5E”teaching model based on the guidance case to assist learning can improve students' awareness of problems,cultivate students' language expression ability and self-learning ability,and improve classroom teaching efficiency;the disadvantage is that it will increase the burden on teachers and students to a certain extent.Based on the information above,when using the biology guidance case based on the “5E” teaching model,the suggestions I put forward mainly include:(i)allocation time in class and after class reasonably;(ii)setting up student study groups in advance and construct a multi-evaluation system;(iii)the language of writing the guidance case should be considered carefully,and the exercises should be selected.This research could provide a reference for the development of the “5E” teaching model and guidance case.
