In the 21 st century, China has been promoting quality-oriented education and curriculum reform to school. It is aimed to change teaching method and learning method, to promote the development of teachers and students, to change the traditional "teacher centered, students around" class. This requires a new teaching mode with the progressive realization of the teaching process, teaching theory and teaching methods.This study is based on the change of teaching method in new curriculum reform, focused on the students’ exploring ideas on geography, combined insufficient real cases in teaching materials with reality to make high school geography classroom teaching mode and put it into practice.The teaching mode of geography class in high school is based on local case for the learning case as a platform with teacher’s dominant and students’ group work as the main part, thus it is a teaching mode completing the teaching task through the cooperation of teachers and students.This study mainly divided into five parts: The first part, the paper collect, analyze and make review on both domestic and abroad study of local geography and teaching mode according to the related research on defining the concept and lay a theoretical foundation. The second part, I have made survey on several schools’ teacher and student respectively in downtown of Nanning via questionnaires based on local case and teaching-learning situation of geography class in high school according to the survey, analysis of the current local case based learning problems of class teaching, and analysis of status quo attribution. The third part, the study combined the research status with theoretical basis for the feasibility of the mode with which the basic content is used by the local case on learning in writing manner. This paper builds the model of the process framework and refers the local teaching case in Guangxi province to perform the model of the specific implementation. The fourth part, the Flanders interaction analysis method is used to apply the pattern of teaching examples. The fifth part, make a summary conclusion, and puts forward the shortages and problems which need to be studied further. construction and implementation of case-based local high school geography classroom teaching mode guidance, to supplement the teaching material, to meet the shortfall, conducive to teaching materials for secondary development, and promote the development and utilization of local geography case; development of local case, guidance case and class guiding and controlling promote teachers’ professional ability and the transformation from teacher to director; to reflect and implement the idea of new curriculum reform, change the traditional teaching mode, tochange the student’s learning method, to raise the students’ interest in learning, efficiency and class-participation, benefit to the three-dimensional effective to achieve learning goals.
