The Criteria for Chinese Course in High School(2017 edition)formally sets "to promote deep reform of the language curriculum with a focus on core literacy" as the basic philosophy of the language curriculum.Among the four core quality of Chinese subjects,“accumulation and use of language ” is at the top of the list,and its importance is self-evident.Chinese curriculum reform should focus on developing students' linguistic competence and enhancing their linguistic literacy to lay the foundation and pave the way for the development of other qualities.The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the problems in teaching pragmatics and analyze the causes of the problems,and then propose corresponding teaching strategies and implementation requirements in order to fundamentally improve students' pragmatic skills.This thesis uses literature,survey and interview methods,relying on the online medium to expand the range of respondents,while applying big data analysis methods to the survey data.These methods greatly enhance the authenticity and scientific validity of the findings.The main body of the thesis is divided into five sections,which follow the thinking logic of "problem formulation,problem analysis,and problem solving".In the first part,Confucius' views on language and rhetoric and language teaching from the perspective of language education are outlined,the current state of research is reviewed,relevant concepts are defined,the theoretical basis of the thesis is clarified,and the significance of Confucius' views on language and rhetoric for the development of language skills in high school students is revealed.In the second part,based on previous research findings,summarize the linguistic skills that high school students should possess,namely: discourse construction ability,verbal comprehension ability,verbal expression ability,and rational interaction ability.In the third part,according to the analysis of the survey,I summarized the five areas in which students are prone to problems in their linguistic competence,namely: high similarity in the corpus,shallow level of comprehension,low desire for expression,few methods of expression,and poor interactive literacy.And given these five problems,attribution is carried out from the two subjects of students and teachers,and from the two aspects of internal and external.In the fourth part,based on the findings,the thesis introduces Confucius' views on language and rhetoric into the study.Inspired by traditional classics such as The Analects of Confucius,the thesis proposes five strategies for solving the problems,including expanding the stock of verbal materials,improving semantic comprehension,enhancing awareness of self-expression,improving the overall effectiveness of expression,and emphasizing the cultivation of interactive literacy.And each strategy is divided into four parts,with examples of specific implementation processes.In the fifth part,from the perspective of practical operation,under the enlightenment of the Confucian Doctrine of the Mean,puts forward specific implementation requirements for each teaching strategy.This thesis aims to solve teaching problems,develop research perspectives and enrich teaching research.It analyses existing teaching problems based on real survey data,with a view to providing ideas and methods that can be used for teaching language usage in senior secondary schools.
