In 1941,Mr.Ye Shengtao,a famous educator,first put forward the idea of reading the whole book,which was not implemented due to various reasons.In 2016,Professor Wen Rumin put forward: "Chinese teaching should suit students' life,extend reading teaching from class to extracurricular,and cross,penetrate and integrate reading inside and outside class to form a complete whole." Therefore,Professor Wen Rumin integrated the whole book reading into the Chinese textbook,which means that the whole book reading was officially incorporated into the Chinese curriculum system.With the increasing research on the whole book reading teaching,the whole book reading has gradually attracted the attention of the society.However,in the primary school stage,the whole book reading teaching has not formed a complete teaching system,and the school is facing great difficulties in implementing the whole book reading teaching.Based on the above background,this paper aims to explore the current practice of Chinese whole book reading teaching in primary schools by discussing the implementation of Chinese whole book reading teaching in primary schools.Taking qualitative research as the orientation,using the method of case study,through observation,interview and text analysis,the researcher focuses on the implementation of bibliography,learning situation,teaching objectives,class type,reading style,reading ability,reading strategy,evaluation subject,evaluation method and evaluation content in the whole book reading teaching of y primary school,and summarizes and analyzes the problems and influencing factors in the implementation of the whole book reading teaching,So as to further optimize the implementation path of the whole book reading teaching of Chinese in primary school.Through the investigation of the implementation of the whole book reading teaching in Y primary school,the author finds that the implementation of the whole book reading teaching in Y primary school has the following problems: the lack of balance in the guidance of the whole book reading ability,the lack of diversity in the selection of the whole book reading strategy,the simplification of the whole book reading teaching course type,and the one-sided evaluation system of the whole book reading teaching.In the research process,the author summarizes the influencing factors of the implementation of the whole book reading teaching into Teachers' factors,school factors and the whole book reading teaching itself.Through the author's overall analysis and discussion,this study puts forward the following suggestions for further optimizing the implementation of Chinese whole book reading teaching in primary schools: enrich the curriculum resources related to whole book reading;Strengthen the independent study of the whole book reading teaching;Constructing the whole book reading teaching and research system;Improve the whole book reading teaching evaluation mechanism.
