In the mathematics curriculum standard for compulsory education issued by the Ministry of education in 2011,it is emphasized that the cultivation of reasoning ability should run through the whole process of mathematics learning.At the same time,in the mathematics curriculum standard for ordinary high school revised in 2017,it is pointed out that logical reasoning is one of the six core qualities of mathematics Mathematical logical reasoning ability is not only an important basis for students to solve mathematical problems,but also an important factor affecting students' grades so it has high research value.This paper selects 152 students in Grade 7,8 and 9 of a junior middle school in Jilin as the research object By adopting the method of literature analysis,the mathematical logic reasoning ability is divided into five dimensions: simple reasoning,disjunctive reasoning,proposition calculus,hypothetical reasoning and reasonable reasoning.Through the test paper method,the current situation of mathematical logic reasoning ability of junior middle school students is investigated,and the differences of mathematical logic reasoning ability in gender and grade,and the correlation between academic achievement and mathematical logic reasoning ability are analyzed,Through questionnaire survey and teacher interview,this paper deeply analyzes the performance of junior middle school students,their cognition of mathematical logical reasoning and teachers' teaching methods Through the research,it can be concluded that:(1)The mathematical logical reasoning ability of junior middle school students is at the middle level as a whole,and there is no difference between men and women.With the increase of grade,it improves steadily,and there is a significant positive correlation between academic achievement and mathematical logical reasoning ability as a whole(2)Junior high school students in this school have the strongest ability of simple reasoning and the worst ability of proposition calculus(3)There are no gender differences in the five dimensions of simple reasoning,disjunctive reasoning,propositional calculus,hypothetical reasoning and reasonable reasoning(4)Simple reasoning,hypothetical reasoning and reasonable reasoning have no difference among different grades(5)There is a significant positive correlation between academic achievement and five dimensions: simple reasoning,disjunctive reasoning,propositional calculus,hypothetical reasoning and reasonable reasoning(6)Most junior middle school students are unwilling to think when they encounter problems When learning new mathematical knowledge,students can't associate and analogy with old knowledge,and students rarely summarize in learning(7)Teachers' knowledge reserve of mathematical logical reasoning ability is insufficient(8)Teachers carry out group cooperative learning in mathematics class,and the number of hands-on experiments is very few But teachers attach importance to the infiltration of mathematical thinking methods In view of the problems found in the investigation and research of this paper,the following teaching suggestions are put forward:(1)strengthen students' cognition of mathematical logical reasoning ability;(2)pay attention to the cultivation of logical thinking;(3)carry out teacher training on mathematical logical reasoning;(4)Teachers should pay attention to the cultivation of students' logical reasoning ability in class;(5)pay attention to the teaching of mathematical thinking methods.
