PCK(Pedagogical content knowledge),or pedagogical content knowledge,is a concept developed by Shulman L.S..PCK is the primary knowledge that teachers possess,and there are differences between novice and experienced teachers in terms of PCK.This thesis studies the relevant theories of PCK by referring to Shulman L.S.,Park S.and other scholars,based on Park?s PCK pentagonal structure model,this thesis analyzes the knowledge of teaching purpose(orientation),knowledge of subject content,knowledge of students? understanding,knowledge of teaching strategy and knowledge of teaching evaluation from five aspects.This thesis makes a comparative study of two biology novice teachers and two experienced teachers in Panshan Senior Middle School,analyzes the differences between novice teachers and experienced teachers on PCK,and puts forward feasible suggestions for improving PCK of novice teacher.The main method of qualitative research was to study several identical teaching cases of four teachers through literature analysis,teaching document analysis,classroom observations and interviews,this thesis focuses on one of the typical teaching cases.The results of the study show that experienced and novice teachers have significantly different PCK,as evidenced by differences in the formulation of teaching objectives and the identification of important and difficult points;differences in the systematic acquisition of knowledge and the establishment of interconnections between knowledge;differences in the analysis of learning situations;differences in the use of teaching strategies;and differences in the evaluation of teaching.According to the research results,suggestions are put forward for senior high school biology novice teachers.We should establish teaching belief and teaching confidence;to study the teaching material carefully,strengthen the subject knowledge;fully understand students,read the needs of students;fully integrate knowledge and optimize teaching strategies;listen to the class of excellent teachers,strengthen communication;strengthen self-reflection and sum up teaching experience.
