Narrative Research In Vlog News Reports

With the development of new media technology,my country’s mainstream media has begun to promote the depth of media integration through active media practices.When the short video industry is highly saturated,vlog,as an emerging content form,has begun to be used in news reports by mainstream media.The narrative characteristics presented in vlog news are likely to indicate the future development direction of journalism.Therefore,according to the characteristics of vlog news dissemination and popular events related to vlog news,this article has determined the research objects as the three major mainstream media on Sina Weibo: "People’s Daily","CCTV News",and "China News Network".After analyzing the samples using narratology theory,the research results focus on the three levels of story,discourse and narration.In the story analysis,the author found that the vlog news story sequence mostly uses external flashbacks and partial flashbacks,and internal pre-narratives and partial pre-narratives;the narrative rhythm is mainly omitted,and two or more multi-tempo narratives are combined.In the narrative frequency,a single narrative is the core narrative technique.In discourse analysis,vlog news’ s choice of words and sentence patterns presents the characteristics of familiarity,concreteness,simplicity,and shortness.Operation methods such as lens movement and lens assembly are becoming more professional and diverse.And often use non-verbal symbols such as sound and music.In narrative analysis,the narrator often completes the narrative as a public narrator,and the subjects that can assume the role of the narrator are becoming more abundant.Inner focus perspective has also become a major feature of vlog news.Different narrative techniques have different meanings,which can be summarized as the following three points: the continuity of narrative time and the dynamics of tense at the story level,the interactivity of narrative direction at the discourse level and the immersion of narrative acceptance,and the multiple sources of text at the narrative level.Directionality and the diversification of narrative voices.Invisibly,this narrative strategy has also had a potential impact on the news ecology and even the audience.It is mainly reflected in: First,after the process of knowing becomes the process of experience,the information dissemination tool has become a "dressing game" for leisure and entertainment;Second,"hard topics" gradually alienated into "soft news",and audiences were immersed in the joy of "entertainment to death" after public opinion fell out of focus;third,the excessive advocacy of "equal dialogue attitude" has become blind and ignorant of creation.After the agitation of the consequences,the value of news is increasingly dispelled after the audience is over-empowered.In the process of summarizing narrative strategies and discovering problems,the development direction of vlog news has gradually become clear.It can be corrected in time by methods such as achieving personalized narrative,correctly stimulating audiences’ enthusiasm for participation and expression,reasonably "softening" news,and enhancing sense of responsibility.Issues in the news.
