Research On The Intervention Of Social Work In The Interpersonal Communication Of The Elderly In Aged Care Institutions

With the advent of an aging society,the number of elderly people continues to increase,and the traditional old-age care model has also been impacted.More and more old people go to old-age care institutions.Most elderly care institutions provide care for the elderly in terms of clothing,food and daily life,but lack of care for the elderly in their spiritual life.The environment in the elderly care institutions is closed,the objects that the elderly can reach are limited and fixed,and it is difficult to meet the needs of interpersonal communication.In addition,the staff of the elderly care institutions lack certain professional knowledge,and it is difficult to help the elderly in the institution get out of the interpersonal difficulties.Therefore,it is necessary to apply the professional methods of social work to the interpersonal communication of the elderly in the elderly care institutions to improve the service capacity and level of the elderly care institutions.This article takes Y elderly care institution as an example to study how the casework can intervene in the interpersonal communication of the elderly in elderly care institutions and help the elderly get out of the predicament of interpersonal communication.Through observational methods and unstructured interviews to collect and analyze data,it is found that the existence of cognitive,emotional,and behavioral obstacles in elderly care institutions leads to interpersonal difficulties.Through the intervention of five case service activities,using ABC rational emotional therapy and social support theory,firstly change the client's irrational emotions,and then enable the client to obtain emotional support from the family,the elderly care institution and the community,and help those with interpersonal difficulties The elderly increase the enthusiasm and initiative of interpersonal communication,enhance the ability of interpersonal communication,get out of the predicament of interpersonal communication,and improve the happiness of the elderly in the elderly care institutions.Finally,from the perspective of social work,discuss how to help the elderly in elderly care institutions get out of interpersonal difficulties from the four aspects of individuals,elderly care institutions,families and communities.First,guide the elderly to establish correct cognition and change their unreasonable emotions;secondly,give full play to the role of elderly care institutions and a harmonious communication environment;thirdly,strengthen family support and open the client's heart.Finally,it is necessary to link community resources and form third-party support to help the elderly in elderly care institutions get out of the dilemma of interpersonal communication.
