Dong Zhongshu is a famous statesman,philosopher and educator in the West-Han Dynasty.He is an important thinker who had great influence on the history of the Chinese nation.Dong Zhongshu,who inherited Confucius and inspired Zhu Xi.He is a key figure in the development of Confucianism and made a decisive contribution to the establishment of the spirit of traditional moral education of the Chinese nation for two thousand years.Dong Dong Zhongshu's thought of moral education is a relatively systematic ideological and theoretical building of moral education,which is based on absorbing the essence of the various schools of thought of the pre-Qin Dynasty and adding contents in line with the needs of the Times.Ever since Emperor Han Wu of the Han Dynasty adopted Dong Zhongshu's idea of "Ban from hundred philosophers,venerate Confucianism".Confucianism has stepped onto the historical stage and become the feudal ruling ideology that has dominated the Chinese nation for two thousand years with its deep-rooted influence on people's thoughts.As the mainstream of moral education in the history of the Chinese nation,Confucianism has established a series of moral codes and behavioral norms for people's daily life.Although Dong Zhongshu's moral education thought serves for the feudal rule in essence,is formed under the specific historical background,and has obvious feudal characteristics.There are some positive factors in the thought which are consistent with the socialist moral education idea with Chinese characteristics in the new era.Therefore,we should treat Dong Zhongshu's moral education thought dialectically.We should analyze its contemporary value and significance objectively and rationally.Taking Dong Zhongshu's moral education thought as the center,this paper explores the profound connotation,contemporary value and significance of Dong Zhongshu's moral education thought deeply.On the basis of the overall grasp of the relevant research results of Dong Zhongshu's moral thought,studied from the social background and personal experience.It analyzes the inheritance and development of Dong Zhongshu's moral education thought from pre-Qin Confucianism.It also analyzes the criticism and absorption of the Legalists,the Taoism and the Yin-Yang school.This paper fully discusses the theoretical origin of Dong Zhongshu's moral education thought.Based on the full study of the background and theoretical origin of Dong Zhongshu's moral education thought,this paper studies and constructs Dong Zhongshu's moral education theory system from three aspects of moral education goal,content and method.Dong Zhongshu's goal of moral education is to improve the cultivation of human nature,cultivate and select national pillars,shape the perfect personality of the sage king.The goal of moral education pays attention to the comprehensiveness of the educated subject,highlights the level and highlights the rich moral connotation.On the content of moral education,Dong Zhongshu elaborated on human nature,ethics,justice and interest,and the relationship between man and nature,which can provide reference for enriching the content of contemporary ideological and political education.In Dong Zhongshu's moral education idea,he emphasizes the moral education methods such as self-cultivation,model demonstration,moral cultivation and combination of morality and intelligence.On the basis of systematically grasping Dong Zhongshu's moral education thought system,this paper objectively and rationally evaluates Dong Zhongshu's moral education thought from two dimensions: historical contribution and historical limitation.Finally,based on the contemporary society,this paper objectively analyzes the enlightenment and significance of Dong Zhongshu's moral education to the contemporary ideological and political education.
