Work,time And Space,society:A Study On The Labor Practice And Relationship Construction Of Take Away Riders In The Platform Acceleration

The development and maturity of the Internet has led to the continuous growth of the takeaway industry.As a new profession,takeaway riders emerge as the times require.Takeaway riders play an important role in people’s daily life.This group has also aroused widespread concern.According to relevant data,from 2015 to 2018,the overall delivery time of China’s takeout industry was reduced from 41 minutes to less than 30 minutes.In 2019,the average delivery time of each takeout order was shortened by 10 minutes compared with 2016,and the takeout riders were forced to "accelerate".Therefore,in view of this phenomenon,this paper puts forward the core problem of this paper: how to reconstruct the relationship between the takeaway rider and the outside world under the labor practice by the penetration of acceleration logic in the accelerating takeaway distribution,and decomposes this core problem into three small problems: how to establish the external relationship,how to accelerate the penetration of takeaway distribution,and how to accelerate the reconstruction of the relationship,Based on this,the analysis is carried out step by step.From October 2020 to March 2021,we conducted a six-month observation,interview and Research on Meituan takeout riders in Hefei.First of all,this paper analyzes how riders establish relations with the outside world in the labor practice.Secondly,this paper analyzes the acceleration representation in takeout distribution from three aspects of platform,user and rider to analyze how acceleration permeates into takeout distribution.Furthermore,this paper analyzes the relationship between the rider and the object of work,time and space,and the object society to accelerate the reconstruction of the relationship between the rider and the outside world in the labor practice.In terms of the working relationship of riders,the relationship between riders and platforms,businesses and users conflicts and negotiates in the acceleration of desynchronization,and there is a closer connection between riders and riders,which reflects the tension of interactive relationship under acceleration;On the one hand,the rider plays an active role in chasing time and conquering space.On the other hand,under the logic of acceleration,the rider is deceived by the illusion of "time freedom" and falls into the time arrangement of "capitalization";It conquers space and "drifts" out of space;In terms of the relationship between the rider and the object society,on the one hand,the rider is a metaphor for the acceleration of contemporary social development,indicating a new way of life and development layout,but on the other hand,the rider is also "solidified" in the "acceleration",facing the conflict between body acceleration and social rules,the bottom division in labor practice,and the "writing" of contradictory individuals in the accelerated society.In this paper,through progressive analysis,to answer the core question,trying to explore the "living existence" of modern society.In the age of media,people are more and more closely connected with the media.Everyone may be a "Rider",facing a similar situation.Therefore,this paper hopes to focus on how to put "human" in the main body and pursue a better life in the accelerated society.
