| The essence of good Party conduct and political integrity education in China’s universities is an important part of the party’s ideological and political education,which is the political guarantee for the Party’s overall leadership of universities and the implementation of the fundamental task of "Building Morality and cultivating people".At the same time,it is also the fundamental policy to promote the good Party conduct and political integrity construction in universities.The theory of good Party conduct and political integrity education in universities has a profound theoretical basis and ideological source.It is formed by taking the basic principles of Marxism as the theoretical foundation with the theory of good Party conduct and political integrity construction of the Communist Party of China as the core,and continuously absorbing the reasonable components and excellent contents of clean government education thoughts at all times and all over the world in the construction of socialist higher education with Chinese characteristics.At present,the good Party conduct and political integrity education in universities is facing a new situation,which requires normalization and institutionalization,focusing on outstanding problems,and relying on the strength of teachers and students to carry out in-depth education.Since the 18 th National Congress of the CPC,although the good Party conduct and political integrity education in universities has achieved certain results,the problems of corruption of leading cadres,anomie of teachers’ morality of ordinary staff,lack of academic integrity of students and so on show that the effectiveness of the education needs to be improved.The adverse factors that affect the effectiveness of the education mainly include four aspects: first,the absence of the main responsibility in universities;second,the consciousness of the majority of teachers and students to actively participate in the education is not strong;third,the requirements of the classified and hierarchical education are not in place;fourth,the assessment and evaluation are mere formality.In view of the existing problems,universities need to make corresponding adjustments from three ways:enhancing the awareness of the importance of the education, expanding and deepening the education content,and carrying out scientific assessment,so as to achieve the expected effect of the education.In terms of enhancing the awareness of the importance of the education,universities need to constantly strengthen the awareness of political work,enhance the overall awareness of work,and deepen the understanding of scientific laws.In terms of expanding and deepening the content of education,universities need to strengthen the education of ideals and beliefs,good family style,discipline and law-abiding,teachers’ethics and academic integrity.In the aspect of scientific assessment and evaluation of the education,universities need to constantly improve the assessment and evaluation indicators,select multiple evaluation subjects and assessment methods,and establish an incentive guarantee mechanism for the feedback of assessment results. |
