To thoroughly implement the “cultural self-confidence” strategy and develop advanced socialist culture,it is necessary to improve the level of public cultural services.Public cultural services have been the focus of the government work in recent years.From proposing “building a relatively complete public cultural service system covering the whole society” to “basically establishing a modern public cultural service system”,to “improving the public cultural service system”,the state has paid more attention to public culture.Meanwhile,with the release of the “New Liberal Arts Construction Manifesto”,it is an inevitable requirement and trend to promote the integration of disciplines.Public culture,as a multi-disciplinary field,is one of the directions for the development of library science under the background of new liberal arts.Since the library is an important institution that provides public cultural services,the paper resources and digital resources in the library are important parts of the social public cultural resources,so library science,which takes the library as the main research object,will inevitably expand to social,public and cultural undertakings.As an interdisciplinary field involving library and information and archives management,public management,Chinese history,political science,journalism and communication,law,sociology,etc.,public culture integrates research methods and research paradigms from multiple disciplines.From the perspective of master and doctoral dissertations,published works,funded projects,journals,research bases,and high-yield authors,library science is an important force in public cultural academic research.Public culture has become a hot spot and development trend of academic research,talent training and practical teaching of library science.However,in the practice of library science talent training,there are problems such as the lack of connection between the curriculum system and public culture,the scattered and fragmented related courses,the training goal still staying at "information management",the lack of practical training,and the single teaching method,which have affected the development of library science under the background of the new era,and cannot contribute to the improvement of the national public cultural service system.In order to meet the requirements of social and public cultural undertakings for talents,the training model of library science should be adjusted in time to serve the overall situation of the public cultural service system.This research aims to build a university library science training model under the background of the public cultural service system,and to provide reference and basis for the adjustment of the library science talent training system carried out by universities in the future.The thesis is divided into six chapters:The first chapter is the introduction.This chapter explains the research background,definition of related concepts,research purpose,research significance of this research,and clarifies the research content and research methods.By reviewing the literature of library science training models at home and abroad,summarize the current research status at home and abroad.The second chapter is related theories.This chapter clarified educational theory,public cultural service theory,library science theory and related subject theories.The third chapter is the research on the training model of library science major at home and abroad.At the domestic level,conduct research on the training model of colleges and universities selected as national and provincial-level first-class undergraduate professional construction sites.The research content includes training objectives,curriculum systems,academic research and practical teaching.And then this research further conducts targeted case studies of undergraduate library science majors that are selected as national-level construction sites and are double-first-class universities.For foreign countries,conducting research on the 54 member universities of iSchools in North America on the training model of the information colleges.The research content includes training projects,subdivisions,courses,practical teaching and public library courses,and two universities are selected for targeted study.On this basis,a comparative analysis of the training models of universities at home and abroad is carried out,and the status quo and problems are summarized.The fourth chapter is about the training model of university library science under the background of constructing the public cultural service system.Firstly,define the training model,and secondly demonstrate the necessity and feasibility of constructing the training model and then puts forward the construction principles,further discusses the constituent elements of the university library science training model under the background of the public cultural service system,and proposes the logical framework of the training model,and analyzes the internal logical relationship.The fifth chapter is an empirical study on the training model of university library science under the background of the public cultural service system.This study selects library science majors from two universities for empirical analysis to verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the training model proposed in this study.The analysis dimensions include training objectives,training methods,strength integration,curriculum systems,and academic research.Based on the results of the empirical research,it analyzes the problems of the library science training model proposed in this research,and proposes further optimization strategies.The sixth chapter is the summary and prospect,summarizing the research conclusions,and putting forward the deficiencies of the research,and making the next outlook.
