Research On The Impact Of Labor Mobility On The High-Quality Development Of China's Economy

Labor force is an important factor affecting economic development.In the research,many scholars have carried out extensive and in-depth research on the relationship between labor mobility and regional economic growth or regional disparity.However,with the further change of the direction and mode of China's economic and social development,high-quality development has gradually become the strategic direction and goal of China's next economic and social development.In order to closely integrate with the actual situation of China's current economic and social development,I extended the corresponding research content to labor mobility and high-quality development of regional economy in this paper,and made an in-depth study on it.The concept of high-quality economic development was first put forward in the report of the 19 th CPC National Congress.Because this concept has been put forward for a short time,the current academic evaluation system for measuring the level of high-quality economic development has not formed a consistent standard.Therefore,combined with the useful experience of the existing literature,I constructed a measurement system to evaluate the high-quality development level of regional economy from the perspectives of government and individual in this paper.In the index system,the government perspective includes 7 dimensions and 21 indicators,and the individual perspective includes 2 dimensions and 15 indicators.Subsequently,I used the entropy weight TOPSIS method to measure the level of high-quality economic development of each region from 2004 to 2018 at the overall,government and individual levels.The results show that all regions in China have made varying degrees of progress in the level of high-quality economic development in the past 15 years,but there is a large gap between regions.Through the further division of different levels,the improvement of the level of high-quality economic development of each region at the government level is limited,and its overall level is low,while the level of highquality economic development at the individual level has made great progress.Finally,I used the static panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2004-2018 to analyze the relationship between labor mobility and high-quality regional economic development.The results show that labor mobility can significantly promote the level of high-quality economic development at the overall level of a region,and through further empirical analysis of the level of high-quality economic development at different levels in different regions,it also plays a positive role in promoting the highquality development of regional economy at both the government and individual levels.In addition,as the results of the indicators constructed in this paper show that there is a large gap between regional economic high-quality development,this paper further analyzes the gap between labor mobility and regional economic high-quality development.The empirical results show that labor mobility will narrow the overall gap of high-quality economic development between regions,specifically,it will narrow the gap of high-quality economic development at the inter-regional government level,and pull the gap of high-quality economic development at the individual level.
