Research On The Impact Of Digital Economy On High-quality Development In The Yangtze River Economic Belt

At present,China’s economy has shifted from a stage of high-speed growth to a stage of high-quality development.The previous extensive economic development model that relies on demographic dividend and excessive consumption of resources in exchange for rapid economic development is no longer sustainable,and we are in a critical period of transforming the economic development mode.With the vigorous rise of the digital economy,the digital economy with digital technology as the core has deeply penetrated into various social and economic fields,providing a new way to promote the development and reform of China’s economy.As an innovation-driven belt leading the transformation and development of the whole country,the Yangtze River Economic Belt has unique geographical location and resource endowment.How to optimize the economic development model of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and achieve green and sustainable development has become one of the urgent problems to be solved in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.Therefore,in-depth discussion on the current situation of digital economy and high-quality development in the Yangtze River Economic Belt and exploration of the role of digital economy in the process of highquality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt have important theoretical significance and practical value for the realization of high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.First of all,this thesis combs the relevant theories of digital economy and high-quality economic development,expounds the definition and measurement methods of existing studies on the connotation of digital economy and high-quality economic development,and deeply discusses the theoretical logic of digital economy affecting high-quality economic development.Secondly,based on the panel data of 103 cities at prefecture level and above in the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2011 to 2019,the digital economy evaluation index system is constructed from the two aspects of the breadth and depth of the digital economy,and the high-quality urban economic development evaluation index system of the Yangtze River Economic Belt is constructed from the new development concept and based on the five dimensions of innovation,coordination,green,open and sharing.And the entropy weight TOPSIS method is used to measure.Finally,by constructing fixed effect model,threshold model and spatial effect model,the influence of digital economy on high-quality economic development in the Yangtze River Economic Belt is analyzed.The empirical findings are as follows:(1)Digital economy can significantly promote the improvement of high-quality development level of urban economy in the Yangtze River Economic Belt,and there is heterogeneity of geographical location and city size.At the same time,this promoting effect takes green technology innovation and industrial structure upgrading as an important influence path.(2)Threshold test results show that digital economy has a nonlinear effect on high-quality economic development,green technology innovation and industrial structure upgrading play a moderating role in the process,the higher the level of green innovation and industrial structure,the stronger the promotion effect of digital economy on high-quality economic development.(3)Spatial econometric results show that,Digital economy has obvious spatial spillover effect in high-quality economic development.Digital economy can not only promote high-quality economic development in a region,but also promote high-quality economic development in neighboring regions.Based on the empirical research results,the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward: strengthening the construction of digital infrastructure,guiding the digital transformation of industry;Play the regulating role of green innovation and industrial upgrading,improve green innovation ability and promote industrial upgrading;Pay attention to regional differences and promote coordinated development;We should strengthen openness and interconnection and deepen regional cooperation.
