With the continuous expansion of the scale of postgraduate enrollment in China and the "postgraduate entrance examination" heating up year by year,interdisciplinary postgraduates have gradually developed into one of the important components of the postgraduate group in China,and have become a special group that cannot be ignored in the field of postgraduate education.This group is gradually promoting profound changes in postgraduate education in China.The research centered on the theme of professional growth of interdisciplinary postgraduates in Xi'an Physical Education University,with 153 interdisciplinary postgraduates from the 2018,2019,2020,and graduated postgraduates of the school as the specific research objects.The research first sorted out and elaborated related concepts,selected the literature research method as the base,the questionnaire survey method as the main line,and used the interview method,case research method,and mathematical statistics method as verification and supplementation.On the basis of limiting the scope of research and setting analysis standards,in-depth exploration of the professional growth level of the interdisciplinary postgraduate group of Xi'an Physical Education University from the seven dimensions of professional cognition,professional identification,academic adaptability,professional learning ability,practical application ability,academic research ability,and innovation and creativity ability.The research came to the following conclusions:1.The professional cognition level of this group has been well developed after the enrollment of graduate students.2.The satisfaction of the current major is generally higher than that of the original major,and the professional identity has been significantly improved through interdisciplinary postgraduate study.3.The academic adaptability is good,especially the best performance in both social interaction and emotional attitude.4.Professional learning ability is good,91.07% of the subjects did not fail the course,87.5% of the subjects had a good average score of 80-90,and they performed well in literature reading and office work.The best performance in the two abilities of software operation,professional foundation and language expression ability is also at a good level.5.Practical application ability plays well in the field of practice and academic.6.Academic research ability is good,the completion rate and publication rate of academic papers,the participation rate of scientific research projects and academic conferences are all at a relatively high level of more than 65%.7.The potential for innovation and creativity is large,and 90.2% of the research subjects can find that their original majors and current majors are organically integrated in academic research,talent training,curriculum development,employment and entrepreneurship,etc.Approximately 40% of the research objects have been explored in interdisciplinary research.8.The comprehensive level of professional growth has a certain degree of competitiveness,and has performed well in the scholarship selection.On the whole,the professional growth of the interdisciplinary postgraduate group of Xi'an Physical Education University is relatively good,which reflects the school's better training level for interdisciplinary postgraduates,but the existing problems are also obvious: 1.This group's cognition of the frontier hot topics of the discipline level is not high.2.The development of professional learning ability is not comprehensive and uneven,8 of the 15 indicators reflecting the degree of knowledge and skill mastery fail to meet the eligibility standards,there are deficiencies in thinking and innovation ability,professional theory and interdisciplinary knowledge,foreign language reading and writing ability,and scientific research software operation ability.3.The application of professional knowledge in the field of life is low.4.Academic exploration needs to be further deepened.For this reason,this research puts forward recommendations for the two main bodies of schools and students: 1.The school can flexibly supplement professional courses and design personalized training programs for interdisciplinary postgraduates;at the same time,optimize the curriculum setting,expand cooperation in running schools,and improve academic resource support.2.Interdisciplinary graduate students should find their own positioning and clarify their growth paths as soon as possible;select mentors based on their disciplinary background and their own needs to achieve teacher-student matching;strengthen academic practice and explore professional integration and innovation;formulate career plans,strive to gain social recognition with the advantages and characteristics of wide-caliber,compound talents.Solve existing problems through a combination of school system optimization and student self-improvement,and help interdisciplinary graduate students achieve better professional growth.
