In recent years,China's economy has developed rapidly,and the national innovation-driven development strategy has been deeply implemented.The society is in urgent need of a batch of high-quality innovative and entrepreneurial talents to promote industrial transformation and boost economic take-off.Innovation drives entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship creates jobs.Innovation and entrepreneurship education not only meets the requirements of national strategy,but also meets the needs of society.It has become an educational concept and model to drive the reform of higher education.Innovation and entrepreneurship education reports in colleges and universities shoulder the important role of disseminating ideas and experiences of innovation and entrepreneurship education,but there are few literatures that have studied it from the perspective of education journalism.As the official newspaper of the central committee of the Communist Youth League,China Youth Daily is an important front for reporting innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities in China.Taking this as an example,this paper studies the report of innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities from the perspective of news frame theory.In 2010,the Ministry of Education issued the first overall document on promoting innovation and entrepreneurship education--Opinions on Vigorously Promoting Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education in Institutions of Higher Learning and Self-employment of College Students.This paper takes reports on innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities from January 1,2010 to December31,2020 in China Youth Daily as the research object.Through sorting out the basic elements of the reports,it finds that: The number of reports on innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities increased slowly before 2015 and increased to about 90 in 2015 and 2016,but decreased after 2017.In terms of genre,communication accounts for 51%,news accounts for 28%,and in-depth reporting only accounts for 14%.In terms of propensity,positive stories accounted for nearly 88 percent;In terms of form,only 292 articles were written,accounting for 72% of the total number of articles.In terms of layout,136 articles were devoted to news and 153 articles were devoted to special edition and special issue,accounting for a large proportion.In general,the report of innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities was in the stage of slow development before 2015,and entered the stage of vigorous development in 2015 and 2016,and began to trend to steady development in 2017.The report uses more types of communication and news,with a large proportion of positive reports.It attaches importance to text reports,uses less pictures,and has a variety of pages.From the perspective of reporting function,this paper summarizes four types of frameworks: the defining framework to present the status quo of industry development,the attribution framework to analyze the reasons for the success of colleges and universities,the conflict framework to highlight the problems of entrepreneurship and innovation education,and the countermeasures framework to guide the healthy development of the industry;In addition,this paper also analyzes and summarizes the characteristics of the images of middle school students and educators.Combined with the above analysis,the study found that there is some room for improvement in the report of China Youth Daily,which is embodied in: there are many news about educational activities,few news about problem exploration,single image of educators,too concentrated reporting area,single means of communication,and lack of attraction.In this regard,this paper believes that the news media should enhance the awareness of problems,explore the image of typical teachers,increase humanistic care,promote the balanced reporting of colleges and universities,enrich communication means and improve communication ability.I hope to help the media optimize news reports and better serve the innovation and entrepreneurship education in Colleges and universities.
