In the process of judicial reform,it is a new trend for judicial social work to interven e in the help and education of juveniles involved in crimes.In recent years,China’s judicia l social work has made many explorations in the field of juvenile delinquency,such as Sha nghai model,Shenzhen model and other help and education models,in which various met hods are adopted for the help and education of juvenile delinquency,such as cognitive beh avioral therapy,structured family therapy and rational emotional behavior therapy.The res earch object of this paper is Y,the object of the author’s help and education during his int ernship in the Municipal Procuratorate.The reason for his crime is the scolding of his pare nts and the misleading of his peers on the surface,and the deep reason is the influence of i rrational belief for a long time.Based on this,judicial social workers adopted rational emo tional behavior therapy to help and educate Y,a minor involved in the crime.Rational emotion-behavior therapy(RBT)is based on cognitive change and then changes the behavior.Combined with the physical and mental characteristics of the juvenile involved in crime,it is found that RBT can meet the relevant needs of the juvenile involved in crime.This paper presents the work process of RATIONAL emotional behavior therapy in the form of individual cases.In the study,field observation,questionnaire survey and semi-structured interview are adopted to evaluate the minors involved in crimes and analyze the reasons for their crimes.The treatment steps of rational emotional behavior therapy are divided into four stages.The first stage is the psychological diagnosis stage,which makes a preliminary analysis and diagnosis of the problem of the minor Y involved in the crime,and finds out the specific symptoms of the emotional problems and wrong behaviors of the minor involved in the crime through communication.The second stage is the understanding stage,helping the juvenile Y to accurately identify the irrational belief and analyze its adverse effects.The third stage is the reform stage,in this stage,the juvenile involved in the crime little Y’s irrational belief is debated,and the new rational belief is established;The fourth is the consolidation stage,which consolidates the achievements made by the juvenile Y in the previous stage and makes him adopt a new rational belief to start his life.After help and education,the juvenile’s irrational belief has been improved obviously.Through the evaluation and summary,it is found that under the intervention of rational emotional behavior therapy,the juvenile Y involved in the crime has changed the unreasonable cognition,and at the same time established a rational way of thinking,and successfully survived the help and education.Therefore,rational emotional behavior therapy can be used as an alternative to traditional social help and education.
