The healthy growth of children has always been a hot issue of widespread concern in our society.In recent years,the cultivation of children's emotional management ability has gradually gained attention and attention.Children are in the early stages of physical and mental development,and their emotions are easily affected by external factors.Incorrect influence and stimulation will directly lead to deviations in children's physical and mental development,and children's emotional problems are diverse,with complex reasons and far-reaching effects.Therefore,emotional problems should not be underestimated.This research is derived from the picture book reading light up the soul public welfare project independently developed by H institution,and selected children from BT primary school in C City and some children in X community as the research objects.The research content is based on the children's emotional management ability questionnaire conducted in the early stage of the project.It is found that children have weak ability to recognize their own emotions and others,insufficient emotional expression and catharsis,and poor interpersonal skills.After problem attribution,under the guidance of social learning theory and reading therapy theory,combined with group work methods,the study formulated an emotional management group activity plan,recruited 8service objects who need to improve emotional management ability,and carried out a total of 6 times Group activities.The group uses emotional theme storytelling,theme extension activities,sharing and other methods to improve the group members' awareness of the emotions of the good group members,guide the group members to learn the skills and methods of emotion management,and then enhance the group members' emotion management ability.Before and after the group,use the emotional management picture book reading questionnaire to test the group members before and after,combined with the group activity satisfaction scale,to evaluate the process and results of the emotional management group,and measure the service effect according to the changes in the data.The results of this paper show that the scores of the emotional scale of the seven group members have increased significantly after the group is over,and group work has a significant effect on the improvement of children's emotional management ability in the short term.Finally,I reflect on this research and point out that in the follow-up related practice,it is necessary to pay attention to the appropriateness of children's age when using picture books as a medium to intervene in children's emotional management.Secondly,the professional capabilities of social workers need to be further enhanced to provide professional services in order to achieve better service results.
