| Hygrophoraceae is an important family of Basidiomycota, mainly represented by Hygrophorus and Hygrocybe, which acquires its name from the surface of pileus yielding waxy substance.28 genera and more than 700 species have been reported worldwide till now, mostly distributed in Asia,Europe and North America. The research on this family started relatively late in China, and there were only a few records in Gansu Province. In recent years, our team collected 116 specimens of this family in several areas of Gansu Province. The identification and classification of species were studied through the morphology and phylogeny methods, while the analysis of flora composition and economic value were discussed in addition. The main results were as follows:1.The results showed that a total of 8 genera and 50 species of Hygrophoraceae were identified in Gansu Province: 24 species of Hygrocybe,14 species of Hygrophorus,6species of Cuphophyllus,2 species of Gliophorus,1 species of Arrhenia,1 species of Neohygrocybe,1 species of Spodocybe and 1 species of Haasiella, including 1 new record genus in China,1 new species and 4 new record species in Gansu Province. The morphological characteristics of 26 known species were compared and described, and the detailed morphological description, field habitat photographs and microstructural line diagrams of the new species were provided.2.Hygrophoraceae of Gansu Province mainly distributed in Longnan region,Longzhong Loess Plateau region and Gannan Plateau region.Longnan region had the largest number of species: 6 genera and 20 species were distributed in Jianshan Nature Reserve;3 genera and 16 species in Yuhe National Nature Reserve;4 genera and 10 species in Huicheng Basin;1 genus and 1 species in Kangnan Forest area.Longzhong Loess Plateau region followed: 3 genus and 6 species were distributed in Liancheng National Nature Reserve;1 genus and 2 species in Xinglong Mountain National Nature Reserve;1 genus and 2 species were distributed in Taitong-Kongtong Mountain National Nature Reserve.1 genus and 4 species were distributed in Gannan Plateau region.3.The economic and ecological value of Hygrophoraceae in Gansu Province were evaluated. There was a total of 3 genera and 14 species of edible fungi, such as Hygrocybe ceracea and Hygrophorus erubescens,etc;2 genera and 5 species of edible and medicinal fungi, such as Hygrophorus orientalis and Hygrophorus agathosmus,etc;2 genera and 5species of poisonous fungi, such as Hygrocybe conica and Gliophorus psittacinus, etc. In addition, more than 20 species of ectomycorrhizal fungi in Hygrophorus were discovered, which played an important role in shaping and stabilizing ecosystem diversity. This study basically clarified the background of species diversity of Hygrophoraceae in Gansu Province and could provide theoretical basis for the protection, research, development and utilization of Hygrophoraceae resources in this region. |
