| Transportation is the foundation of economic development,promoting the aggregation or diffusion of economic factors,driving high-quality economic development,and being influenced by both economic development and the ecological environment.Economic development improves the operational efficiency and service quality of transportation through demand driven,investment driven,and technical support.Rapid economic development also brings some ecological pollution problems.The ecological environment is an important foundation for economic development,and balancing the relationship between economic development and the ecological environment is an important prerequisite for achieving sustainable economic development.Therefore,clarifying the specific connections and coordination relationships that exist in the development of the three,and systematically promoting the deep integration of the three to a higher level,is of great significance for better achieving the goal of high-quality economic development.At present,China’s economy has shifted from a stage of high-speed growth to a stage of high-quality development.As one of the new growth poles that the country has high hopes for under the new "dual circulation" development pattern,the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River has irreplaceable global,strategic,and long-term significance.Based on the coupling coordination theory,radiation theory of regional economic development,growth pole theory,"point-axis" theory and sustainable development theory,this thesis analyzes the coupling coordination mechanism among transportation,economic development and ecological environment on the basis of literature research,and makes an empirical analysis of the coupling coordination and dynamic relationship among the three.This thesis takes the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River as the research object,selects the relevant indicators of traffic,economic development and ecological environment of 27 urban agglomerations from 2009 to 2020,constructs the evaluation index system of traffic-economic development-ecological environment,and uses the entropy method to comprehensively evaluate the three systems of traffic,economic development and ecological environment.Secondly,a coupled coordination model was constructed to estimate the coupling degree and the coupling coordination degree of the three systems of traffic,economy and ecological environment in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River urban agglomeration,and to analyze the spatio-temporal variation trend of the coupling coordination degree.Finally,a panel vector autoregressive model is constructed to analyze the interaction and dynamic effects among the three.The conclusions are as follows:(1)The comprehensive development level of traffic-economic development-ecological environment in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River urban agglomeration shows an upward trend,in which the ecological environment subsystem has the largest increase,followed by the economic development subsystem,and the transportation subsystem has the smallest increase,and the comprehensive development level has obvious regional differences.(2)As a whole,the coupling coordination degree of traffic-economic development-eco-environment system in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River urban agglomeration from 2009 to 2020 has been continuously improved,and the coupling coordination degree is lower than the coupling degree on the whole,and the coordinated development of the urban agglomeration is relatively lagging behind.(3)From the perspective of cities,there are obvious regional differences in the coupling degree and coupling coordination degree of transportation,economic development and ecological environment among cities in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River urban agglomeration.The coupling coordination degrees of a few central cities such as Wuhan,Changsha and Nanchang are generally higher than that of other cities.However,with the continuous improvement of the development level of transportation subsystem,economic development subsystem and ecological environment subsystem,the differences of coupling coordination level between different regions were narrowed.(4)There is a positive long-term equilibrium relationship between traffic and economic development,ecological environment and economic development,and traffic has a negative impact on ecological environment.By further analyzing the variance decomposition results of the three factors,it is found that the traffic,economic development and ecological environment in the early stage are mainly affected by their own factors.With the increase of the forecast cycle,the contribution degree of non-own factors gradually increases.In addition to its own factors,economic development is mainly affected by traffic,traffic development is mainly restricted by ecological environment,and ecological environment is mainly affected by economic development.Based on the empirical research results,this thesis argues that the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River should take the provincial capital as the core and form a three-core agglomeration and dispersion type of development.Differentiated measures should be taken to promote coordinated development of cities in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River according to different conditions and natural factors.At the same time,grasp the dynamic transformation relationship between traffic,economic development and ecological environment,and guide the internal and external factors to promote the coordinated development of the three subsystems.The government should promote the coordinated development of industries among cities,strengthen the economic complementarity among cities,and form a new type of urban agglomeration with complementary advantages and resource sharing.Strengthen environmental protection cooperation among cities,jointly deal with environmental pollution and climate change and other issues,and form a good consensus on environmental protection;In transportation planning and construction,it is necessary to fully consider the factors of economic development and ecological environment,promote green transportation,optimize transportation structure,strengthen environmental supervision,strengthen traffic safety management,and realize the coordinated development of transportation,economic development and ecological environment. |
