A man can do his best and everything will prosper.The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China emphasized that "talent is a strategic resource to achieve national rejuvenation and win the initiative of international competition",and clearly called for "accelerating the construction of a talent power".On the occasion of the centennial of the founding of the CPC,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held a talent work conference in Beijing from September 27 to 28,2021,and put forward the new important strategic goal of "accelerating the construction of the world’s important talent center and innovation highland".Scientific research and technical services are important attributes of geological prospecting units.Geological prospecting units have always been the main undertakers of basic and strategic industries in national economic and social development,playing a fundamental and strategic role.How to benchmark the strategic goal of strengthening the country with talents in the new era and optimize the performance management has become an important issue to be explored.On the basis of studying Chinese and foreign literature,this paper attempts to use performance management tools and the latest theoretical research results to analyze the performance management of geological exploration units in detail,taking Geological Brigade B as an example,through questionnaires,research interviews and other methods.First of all,conduct a comprehensive survey of main business performance of Geological Brigade B,and deeply understand the actual performance management situation of the departments and team affiliated units of Geological Brigade B;Secondly,we conducted questionnaire survey and research interview on the performance management of Geological Brigade B,collected data for induction and systematic evaluation,and discussed the difficulties and problems in the performance management of Geological Brigade B.Then,according to the phased nature of performance management,we will systematically study and judge the actual operation of Geological Brigade B,and optimize the performance management of Geological Brigade B from the aspects of planning,indicators,processes,systems,coaching and communication,and results application,based on the principles of fairness and openness,highlighting effectiveness,flexibility and dynamics,system optimization,and overall improvement.Finally,from the organizational level,technical level,institutional level,management level,cultural level and other aspects,ensure that the performance management optimization program can be implemented.On the one hand,the performance management of geological team B can be optimized and improved,on the other hand,they can play a certain reference role in optimizing the performance management of geological exploration units and even the national geological exploration industry.
