The classified treatment of daily domestic waste can not only improve the recycling efficiency of waste, but also reduce the cost of waste treatment,so as to achieve the goal of reducing the amount of domestic waste, the effective utilization of recyclables and no damage. As a super large city, the problem of domestic waste treatment in Beijing is becoming more and more serious. How to realize the sustainable development of the city has always been an important topic of government governance. As a pilot city of early domestic waste classification in China, the government, society and various organizations have made concerted efforts to promote waste classification, but the effect of policy implementation is not significant. One of the main reasons is that urban residents,as one of the main bodies, have been unorganized or passively involved in domestic waste classification for a long time. Therefore, based on the Theory of Planned Behavior(TPB),A-B-C theory and Rational Choice Theory, this paper investigates the domestic waste classification behavior of Beijing residents,so as to enhance the initiative and enthusiasm of urban residents in waste classification, which has certain theoretical research significance and practical research value for environmental protection and sustainable development of economy and society.By collecting and sorting out the literature at home and abroad, this study constructs the influencing factor index system of domestic waste classification behavior of residents in Beijing from the dimensions of sociodemographic variables, subjective norms, environmental attitudes, policies, laws and regulations, publicity and education, perceived behavior cost, perceived social utility, behavior intention, situational factors, knowledge and ability.Taking Beijing community residents as the main research object, this paper collects the relevant influencing factor data of residents’ behavior intention and classified behavior in the form of questionnaire survey, carries out descriptive statistical analysis, reliability data analysis, validity data analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis and mediation effect test on the obtained data, and analyzes the differences of socio-demographic variables. The results show that:(1)the internal consistency reliability of the scale is more than 0.9,which is more reliable and ideal;(2)Behavior intention plays a significant intermediary role in the relationship between subjective norms, environmental attitudes, policies, laws and regulations, publicity and education, perceived behavior cost, perceived social utility and residents’ waste classification behavior;(3)In the relationship between subjective norms, environmental attitudes, policies, laws and regulations, publicity and education, perceived behavior cost, perceived social utility and residents’ waste classification behavior, situational factors, knowledge and ability have a significant regulatory effect;(4)Age has a significant difference in garbage classification behavior intention.Through the analysis of variance, the elderly(61 years old and above)are more willing to have garbage classification behavior intention. On this basis, this study puts forward the following suggestions and measures for the implementation of household waste classification in Beijing:first, establish and improve the social relationship network to encourage and promote residents to actively participate in the classification work;Second, establish and improve reward and punishment policies and regulations;Third, strengthen publicity and education to jointly create a social atmosphere for waste classification;Fourth, strengthen the construction of social trust and get rid of the dilemma of waste classification;Fifth, improve the construction of waste classification infrastructure and reasonably arrange the waste cleaning system;Sixth, withdraw barrels and merge stations, and introduce intelligent classification facilities.
