The choice of aromatic carboxylic acids and heteroatomic ligands plays an important role in determining the structure and properties of the coordination polymer.Deprotonated carboxyl groups can be coordinated to the metal center by a variety of coordination modes such as monodentate,chelate,and bridge.Thiabendazole ligands containing multiple-N and-S coordination sites can construct complexes with different networks with metal nodes.Hence,2-(4-thiazolyl)-1H-benzimidazole(L1),1,4-bis(thiabendazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene(L2),1,3-bis(thiabendazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene(L3)and 1,2-bis(thiabendazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene(L4)were selected to synthesize ten CPs(1~10)with different dicarboxylic acids and Cd(II)/Zn(II)/Co(II)/Ni(II)ions.After the crystal structure,it was found that 1 and 10 display dual-core structure and8 is a zero-dimensional(0D)complex.8 and 10 can be further extended to a 3D supramolecular framework and a 2D network via hydrogen bonds,respectively.2 is a 2D new topology with the point symbol of{4·62}2{42·62·82}.5 and 6 can be classified as 2D63-hcb structure.And 2,5,6 can be extended to 3D supramolecular frameworks underπ···πstacking interactions.3,4,7 and 9 are all 1D infinite chains which can increase the dimension through hydrogen bonds orπ···πstacking interactions,where 3,4,and 7extend to 2D plane networks,while 9 extends to a 3D supramolecular structure.The synthesized complexes were characterized by thermogravimetry,powder X-ray diffraction,solid fluorescence and other properties.It was found that 1~10 had good thermal stability and luminescence properties.Therefore,they were considered to be as fluorescent probes to detect antibiotics,small organic molecules and anions/cations in water.The results showed that 1~3 and 6~8 can efficiently identify norfloxacin,4 and 5can be used as detectors for benzaldehyde and Mn O4in aqueous media.9 and 10 can identify ethylene glycol.9 and 10 can also detect Cu2+and Fe3+ions,respectively.Figure 79;Table 12;Reference 60...
