With the advancement of vocational education information reform,how to integrate information technology with vocational education has become hot points in the reform of education and teaching in secondary vocational schools.Environmental Engineering Technology is the main curriculum of Environmental Control Technology major in secondary vocational schools.Its teaching goal is to cultivate students’ environmental skills and literacy.The students of secondary vocational schools,who experience traditional teaching mode,are poor in theory and skills in usual times.So they cannot satisfy enterprises’ needs for environmental protection professions.By using blended teaching,classroom activity and online learning can be combined,online and offline can be integrated deeply,theory and practice can be integrated as well.Blended teaching provides effective guidelines and methods for improving the teaching quality of Environmental Engineering Technology curriculum in secondary vocational schools.This paper integrates the blended teaching method into Environmental Engineering Technology curriculum teaching in secondary vocational schools.The module of Air Flotation in water pollution control technology is taken as the research object.In the sequence of pre-class,in-class and after-class,teaching design research is conducted to provide an effective and feasible teaching paradigm for Environmental Control Protection major in secondary vocational schools.Firstly,the article adopts literature research method to summarize the research condition of blended teaching domestic and abroad.With blended teaching method integrated into the curriculum of Environmental Engineering Technology in secondary vocational schools,the paper expounds the background,significance and ideas in this progress.And the article illustrates the blended learning theory,constructivist learning theory and mastery learning theory to offer basis for blended teaching.Then the questionnaire and interview method are used to investigate the teachers and students of a certain secondary vocational school in Wuxi.According to the survey results,teaching problems,school-running and reality conditions of Environmental Engineering Technology curriculum which is under current situation of teaching in secondary vocational schools are summarized.Considering the characteristics of blended teaching method,the article demonstrates the necessity and feasibility in the apply of the blended teaching method in Environmental Engineering Technology curriculum.In accordance with systematic principle,integrated principle and feasible principle construction,intelligent vocational education platform is taken as a teaching tool.The article constructs the blended teaching mode which is accorded with Environmental Engineering Technology curriculum from three layers: pre-teaching analysis,teaching activity design,teaching effect evaluation.The teaching mode combines specific teaching content of Environmental Engineering Technology curriculum,in the module of Water Pollution Control Technology the article presents the blended teaching design.Air Flotation,which is the physical and chemical control method of sewage,is designed as a teaching example and the example is under analysis and reflection.Finally,the paper summarizes the research,reflecting on the shortcomings of the research,looks forward to expansion of teaching modes and importance of applying blended teaching in the cultivation and improvement of environmental protection workers in secondary vocational schools.
