A Research On Impact Of Digital Economy Upon Ecological Efficiency

With China’s economy changing from a high-speed development stage to a highquality development stage,the improvement of ecological efficiency has become an indispensable and important factor in the process of economic development.Therefore,how to change the mode of economic development and achieve the development that takes into account economic efficiency and environmental benefits is an important task for China at present and in the future.The digital economy is a new driving force for China’s economic development.It is driving the digital wave to sweep all walks of life at a high speed and drive the vigorous development of emerging digital industries.It is the key to improve the cleanliness and green of economic activities and improve ecological efficiency.On the basis of previous studies,this paper analyzes the mechanism of digital economy promoting ecological efficiency by combining externality theory,ecological economy theory,environmental Kuznets curve,government intervention and market transaction theory,and analyzes the principle of digital economy promoting ecological efficiency from the perspective of political economy,combining with the important transformation of digital economy on productivity and production relations.To verify the above conclusions,this paper takes the cities in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River as the research object,and selects the panel data from2005-2019 as the sample.Firstly,an indicator system is constructed to measure the development level of the digital economy,and the super-efficiency SBM model is used to measure the ecological efficiency.At the same time,the temporal characteristics of the development level of the digital economy and the level of ecological efficiency during the sample study period are analyzed.Secondly,build a fixed effect model to verify that the development of digital economy has a positive role in promoting ecological efficiency.Finally,the objectivity and credibility of the empirical results are further verified by adding explanatory variables,removing special points and other methods for robustness testing and regional heterogeneity analysis.The empirical research shows that the development level of digital economy and the level of ecological efficiency in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River are on the rise as a whole,and the development of digital economy has a significant positive role in promoting the improvement of ecological efficiency.Based on the actual situation of digital economy promoting the development of ecological efficiency in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River,this paper finds and summarizes the following problems that need to be solved: the data element circulation mechanism is not smooth enough to help protect the ecological environment;The level of digital core technology needs to be improved,and scientific and efficient production has not yet been realized;The development foundation of the digital industry is relatively weak,and there are difficulties in the green transformation of the industry;The application scope of the digital platform needs to be expanded,and no long-term pollution control mechanism has been established.Based on the research conclusions of this paper and the actual problems in the promotion of ecological efficiency by digital economy in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River,the following policy recommendations are given:optimize the allocation of data elements to promote the green transformation of production mode;Accelerate the research and development of digital technology to improve the efficiency of resource utilization;Promote the development of digital industry to realize the intelligent interconnection of the whole chain;Accelerate the construction of digital platform to improve the efficiency of ecological governance.
