| As an important ecological security area in China,Tibet Autonomous Region is an important producing area of livestock products with plateau characteristics in China, which provides strong support for national economic development. However,in recent years, due to the impact of climate change and diversification of economic development mode, the development of animal husbandry in Tibet has also brought about the problem of environmental pollution of animal husbandry.Based on the latest findings of low-carbon economy theory, national habitat theory, environmental Kuznets curve theory and decoupling theory, this paper adopts the comprehensive application of quantitative and qualitative research methods, normative analysis and empirical analysis methods, selects the data of cattle, sheep, pigs and other livestock in Tibet from 2000 to 2020,and uses IPCC coefficient method to measure the carbon emissions of animal husbandry, and discusses the relationship between carbon emissions of animal husbandry and economic growth in Tibet.Firstly, the current situation of animal husbandry and economic growth in Tibet is analyzed, and the carbon emission of animal husbandry is calculated, and the relationship between carbon emission of animal husbandry and economic growth in Tibet is preliminarily obtained. Then use the environmental Kuznets curve and decoupling model to verify the relationship between animal husbandry carbon emissions and economic growth in Tibet. The research conclusions show that :(1)The research objects of this paper are cattle, sheep and pigs.Drawing on the emission factor method of Zhang Jinxin and Wang Hongling(2020),the carbon dioxide emissions in Tibet are measured. The results show that the carbon emissions of animal husbandry in Tibet generally show a trend of ’rise-fall-steady ’.Among them, the carbon emissions of cattle generally show a trend of rising first, then falling and rising again, while the carbon emissions of goats generally show a trend of rising first and then falling, the carbon emissions of sheep generally show a downward trend, and the carbon emissions of pigs generally show a stable development trend. The carbon emissions of animal husbandry in Tibet increased from1153.302439 million tons in 2000 to 1334.501483 million tons in 2006,then rose to 1331.903918 million tons in 2009,then decreased to1142.163227 million tons in 2017,and slightly increased to 1159.628399 million tons in 2020.(2)By observing the control variables,we can further guide the negative correlation between environmental protection expenditure, openness level, government intervention and animal husbandry carbon emissions, and the positive correlation between technological innovation, human capital and animal husbandry carbon emissions.(3)There is a long-term cointegration relationship between animal husbandry carbon emissions and regional GDP in Tibet. From the regression results, without adding control variables and adding the EKC curve of five control variables of technological innovation, environmental protection expenditure, government intervention, openness level and human capital, the relationship between carbon emissions and economic growth of animal husbandry in Tibet shows an inverted ’ U ’ type and there is an inflection point, which is 299.4657339 billion yuan and194.6104756 billion yuan respectively.(4)The carbon emissions of animal husbandry in Tibet are mainly weak decoupling(relative decoupling state),but the overall decoupling level is developing towards a good trend.Among them, there are 10 years showing a strong decoupling state, namely 2007,2008,2010-2017,which indicates that in this decade, the rapid growth of animal husbandry output value has led to a negative growth trend in greenhouse gas emissions, and the development of animal husbandry in Tibet is absolutely decoupled from carbon emissions;in the remaining years, the growth rate of animal husbandry output value is faster than the growth rate of carbon emissions, showing a weak decoupling or relative decoupling state. Therefore, this paper suggests that while developing the economy, the Tibet Autonomous Region should strengthen government control, increase energy conservation and environmental protection expenditures, improve the level of openness, improve the education level of the rural population, promote excellent ethnic culture, and promote the low-carbon,coordinated and sustainable development of animal husbandry in Tibet. |
