| On June 7,2008,the grass linen weaving technique was approved by the State Council to be included in the second batch of the national intangible cultural heritage list.In 2017,Liuyang Grass Linen was selected as Changsha intangible cultural heritage.As the hometown of summer cloth,Liuyang City,Hunan Province,occupies an important position in the history of ramie weaving in China.However,with the development of textile technology and changes in people’s lifestyles,grass linen has gradually faded from the public’s view because of its long time-consuming,low efficiency,and high cost.Due to the lack of inheritors,the low familiarity of the public,and the single form of products,the handloom weaving technique of grass linen,which has been handed down for thousands of years,urgently needs new design intervention for inheritance and innovation.With the rise of digital technology,many scholars and research institutions have applied digital technology to the preservation and innovation of intangible cultural heritage.Based on the development dilemma of the Liuyang Grass Linen hand-weaving technique,this paper completed the design of an e-book on the Liuyang Grass Linen hand-weaving technique based on extensive research.The article firstly elaborates the project background and research significance and organizes the research ideas and basic framework of the paper.Second,the research on Liuyang Grass Linen weaving techniques it mainly introduces the sources,regional and cultural characteristics,historical development,and artistic features and uses of Liuyang Grass Linen.The current process of grass linen weaving is understood and related tools are introduced to provide direction for the innovative design of the e-book later.In the design practice phase,we investigated the hand-weaving technique process of Liuyang summer cloth in detail.In response to the current problems,the e-book design principles were summarized from the problems and user needs.We redesigned the hand-weaving techniques of Liuyang Grass Linen in terms of function and content analysis,information architecture design,interaction design level,and interface visual design,and completed the e-book design of "Xabu Liuxin".It increases the innovation ability of Liuyang Grass Linen,enhances the public’s knowledge of grass linen weaving skills,and prepares well for the subsequent further development of Liuyang Grass Linen weaving skills.From the perspective of the e-book design of the Liuyang Grass Linen Weaving Technique,this paper investigates the integration of intangible cultural preservation of the Liuyang Grass Linen Weaving Technique and e-books.Combining the Liuyang Grass Linen weaving technique with e-books is not only innovation of e-book design content but also a protection and inheritance of the intangible cultural heritage of the Liuyang Grass Linen weaving technique.This paper aims to improve the development and inheritance difficulties faced by the handloom weaving technique of Liuyang Grass Linen,to better promote the protection and inheritance development of the handloom weaving technique of Liuyang Grass Linen and other handlooms intangible cultural heritage,and to provide an important reference for the digital design practice of other handloom weaving techniques. |
