As parents increasingly prioritize children’s education and development,there is a growing focus on children’s toys and a rising demand for more sophisticated products.Traditional interactive toys have fallen short of meeting these expectations,necessitating the design of innovative interactive toys that cater to children’s needs.Digital technology,particularly the development of Virtual Reality(VR)and 3D printing,offers a potential solution and represents a new direction in children’s interactive toy design.This study examines children’s cognitive characteristics and developmental needs by reviewing relevant literature on children’s toy design theories.It highlights the importance of interaction by analyzing children’s needs for toy design and establishing the relationships among these needs.Subsequently,the study elaborates on interactive design and investigates the impact of interactive toys on children’s development.It also provides an analysis of the intelligent toy market,exemplary cases in intelligent toys,and organizes interactive elements with the support of case studies.Furthermore,the study discusses theories related to interactive system design and explores their feasibility in the context of toys.Taking into account factors such as interactivity,user needs,human-computer interaction,environment,and technology,the study proposes design principles for children’s interactive toy systems based on VR and 3D printing.These principles emphasize entertainment,education,interaction,and safety.The study also investigates the functional and aesthetic elements of children’s interactive toy design.A children’s interactive toy system,designed for ages 6-12 and intended for use in public spaces such as children’s entertainment areas in shopping malls,was ultimately developed.Adhering to the design principles derived from the aforementioned study,the design analysis encompassed various elements,including user needs,human-computer interaction,and technology.The design of the appearance,functionality,and virtual interaction aspects of the interactive toys for children was subsequently created.The design enhances the usability and comfort of the VR device and 3D printer while also focusing on user experience in the development of the virtual interaction interface.The toy system provides children with an enjoyable user experience through easy-to-learn and easy-to-use products,as well as effective human-computer-system interaction.This ultimately aids children in exercising their imagination more efficiently and effectively,stimulating their innovative abilities.
