Study On The Interaction Between Tourism Economy And Ecological Environment In Yunnan Province

Yunnan Province is located in the southwest border of China,with complex and diversified terrain.It is the ecological security barrier of southwest China,and also one of the ecologically fragile provinces in the west of China,and its unique natural and human resources attract a large number of domestic and foreign tourists.Tourism economy-ecological environment is a complex system of mutual influence and interaction.Exploring the interaction between tourism economy and ecological environment in Yunnan Province can help balance the interdependent and contradictory relationship between tourism economy and ecological environment,effectively play the promotion effect of tourism economy on ecological environment,the support effect of ecological environment on tourism economy,and alleviate the coercive effect of tourism economy on ecological environment and the constraint effect of ecological environment.It is of great significance to promote the coordinated development of tourism economy and ecological environment in Yunnan Province.In view of this,based on the panel data of 16 prefectures and cities in Yunnan Province from 2011 to2020,this paper tries to select and construct the tourism economy subsystem index system and ecological environment subsystem index system by drawing on relevant literature,and measure the comprehensive development level of tourism economy and ecological environment in all prefectures and cities in Yunnan Province by using entropy value method,and adopt Jenks natural breakpoint grading method and Arcgis10.8 to visualize the spatial and temporal evolution of tourism economy and ecological environment in Yunnan Province during the study period;secondly,the relative development relationship between tourism economy and ecological environment in Yunnan Province was initially explored by using the relative development model.On this basis,the interaction between tourism economy and ecological environment in Yunnan Province is empirically demonstrated by using panel vector autoregressive model.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The overall tourism economy subsystem composite score of Yunnan Province shows a development trend of rising and then falling during the study period,and there is a significant difference in the change trend of tourism economy subsystem composite score of each city and state,and there is a large development gap between local cities and states,indicating that although the tourism economy of Yunnan Province shows a better development trend from 2011 to 2019,and the development strategy of all-area tourism is effective,but it is affected by The overall ecological environment subsystem composite score of Yunnan Province shows a decreasing and then rising trend,showing a continuous development trend for the better,while the ecological environment subsystem composite score of various cities and municipalities has different trends,and there are still large regional gaps and high emissions of three wastes in some cities and municipalities.In addition,there are differences in the trends of the tourism economy subsystem and ecological environment subsystem between the non-ethnic autonomous regions and the ethnic autonomous regions,but they still converge with the overall evolution trend of Yunnan Province.(2)During the study period,the number of lagging tourism economy and harmonious development areas and cities fluctuate upward,while the number of lagging ecological environment areas and cities fluctuate downward,which on the one hand further confirms that the ecological environment of Yunnan Province presents a better development trend,on the other hand,it also indicates that the tourism economy and ecological environment of Yunnan Province are at a relatively uncoordinated stage,especially in 2020 due to the impact of the new crown epidemic.Tourism economy lagging type of areas significantly increased,even no ecological environment lagging type of areas appear,further reflecting the development of tourism economy in each region should fully consider the ecological environment carrying capacity threshold range.(3)Tourism economy and ecological environment both have self-enhancement mechanism in the process of upgrading,this self-enhancement effect to a certain extent exceeds the effect of influence by other variables;there is a certain dynamic influence relationship between tourism economy and ecological environment in Yunnan Province,in which ecological environment presents a significant negative influence on tourism economy in the current period,while tourism economy presents a significant positive influence on ecological environment.(4)There is already a continuous interactive correlation effect between tourism economy and ecological environment in Yunnan Province,although there is a dynamic interaction effect between the two variables,both tourism economy and ecological environment are more influenced by themselves than by other variables,and there is a strong self-reinforcing mechanism,which is also consistent with the GMM estimation results.In response to the above findings,this paper provides policy insights and path references for the coordinated development of tourism economy and ecological environment in Yunnan Province from four aspects: optimizing tourism environment,focusing on improving tourism environment quality,enhancing tourism economic resilience and promoting tourism quality development,digital empowerment and developing smart tourism,and developing tourism recycling economy and taking the path of green development.
