| Under the background of basing on the new development stage, implementing the new development concept and building the new development pattern, relying on scientific and technological innovation to drive the sustainable economic development while attaching importance to ecological and environmental protection is the key to achieve high-quality economic development. At present, urban agglomerations,as the spatial carrier of highly concentrated scientific and technological resources, have gradually become the core area with the most vitality and potential in China’s economic development pattern.China has entered a new stage of high-quality development dominated by urban agglomerations. It is urgent to give full play to the role of urban agglomerations in promoting the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation-led industries and alleviating the contradiction between economic development and ecological environment. To achieve better collaborative optimization of the “economy-science-ecology” three systems.Based on the above background, based on the correlation mechanism of the three systems of economy, science and technology and ecology, this paper constructs a comprehensive evaluation index system of the coupling coordination level of the“economy-science-ecology” three systems. The entropy method was used to calculate the weight of each index, and the weighted coefficient was used to calculate the development index and the overall comprehensive development index of the subsystems of economy, science and technology and ecology. Then, the coupling coordination degree model was introduced to estimate the coupling coordination degree of urban agglomerations and its cities from 2006 to 2020.Arc GIS software, kernel density model and spatial autocorrelation model were used to analyze the spatial trend surface and spatial-temporal evolution characteristics of the coupling coordination level of the “economy-science-ecology” three systems, and the spatialtemporal evolution characteristics are analyzed from the horizontal and vertical systems. Finally, the obstacle degree model and spatial econometric model are used to discuss the internal and external influencing factors of the coupling coordination of the “economy-science-ecology” three systems. The results show that:(1)During the study period, the development level and coupling coordination level of the “economy-science-ecology” three systems in China’s urban agglomerations maintained an overall growth trend, and the coupling coordination level mostly changed from a disordered state to a medium coordination state.(2)There are regional differences in the coupling coordination of the“economy-science-ecology” three systems, showing a spatial trend of “high in the east and low in the west” and “high in the south and low in the north”.The coupling coordination development level is higher in the in the Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta urban agglomerations, and the central cities of the urban agglomerations such as Shenzhen,Beijing and Shanghai.(3)From the perspective of influencing factors, the types of obstacles are diverse. The output of scientific and technological achievements, the total economic scale, the endowment of ecological environment and the maintenance of environmental governance are the obstacles in a long period of time.Government scale, human capital, technology level, investment intensity of fixed assets, economic development level and other factors are important influencing factors of coupling coordination level, which not only have direct effect, but also have spillover effect, affecting both local and surrounding cities. Therefore, based on the background of high-quality economic development in the new era, according to the spatial-temporal evolution characteristics, regional differentiation characteristics and internal and external influencing factors of the coupling coordination of the “economy-science-ecology” three systems, the existing problems and causes of the coupling coordination of the three systems at the present stage are analyzed. The paper sorts out the policy suggestions to narrow the gap in the coupling coordination level of the “economy-science-ecology” three systems among urban agglomerations and cities under their jurisdiction, and to achieve highquality coordination and effectiveness. |
