Abstract/Summary:
Due to the outbreak and sustainable development of the COVID-19,people’s demand for health protection textiles has risen sharply. With the increasing use of hygiene protective masks and the enhancement of awareness of protection and green development, higher requirements have also been put forward for them. Therefore, the development of comfortable, antibacterial, and highly degradable knitted mask fabrics has become an important research direction in this field. This topic starts with the degradation performance of fibers, and compares the degradation performance of four common fibers, namely alginate fiber, viscose fiber,PLA fiber, and bamboo fiber. The fibers with excellent performance are selected, and high degradation yarns are obtained through jet vortex spinning technology. After weaving, fabrics are obtained, and finally hygiene protection knitted masks are produced. And design a simple new laboratory soil degradation experimental method-microwave box method. This project first conducted degradation experiments on fibers using natural soil burial method and PBS buffer degradation method.By calculating the mass loss rate of the degraded fibers, observing with scanning electron microscopy, testing single fiber strength, and Fourier transform infrared detection, and comparing four sets of fiber data for optimal analysis,a new type of yarn was obtained by using jet vortex spinning technology to mix alginate fiber and viscose fiber in proportion, and the evenness of the yarn was tested Physical properties such as tensile fracture resistance,as well as degradability and antibacterial properties. Finally, the weft knitted fabric was obtained through weaving, and its properties such as breathability, moisture permeability, wear resistance, filtration, rigidity and flexibility, and dimensional stability were tested to study its application in sanitary protective knitted masks. After 90 days of soil burial degradation and PBS buffer degradation, the quality loss of the degraded fibers was compared. The changes in fiber fracture and tensile properties were observed,as well as the scanning electron microscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy of the degraded fibers.Based on the results of four sets of experiments, four types of fiber degradation degrees were determined: alginate fiber>viscose fiber>bamboo fiber>PLA fiber, and the most suitable spinning material was selected based on its degradation performance.Due to the use of a new spinning technology, namely jet vortex spinning, which requires high mechanical properties of fibers,it is not possible to use alginate fiber with the best degradation performance for pure spinning. Therefore, alginate fiber and viscose fibers are mixed in a ratio of 2:8 to obtain a blended yarn.Performance analysis of alginate/viscose20/80 jet vortex blended yarn was conducted through various testing methods.Based on the experimental results,it was found that the yarn has uniform lines, less hairiness, excellent spinnability, and high degradation and antibacterial properties. The new type of yarn prepared is woven into a knitted fabric, and the breathability, moisture permeability, filtration, wear resistance, rigidity, flexibility, and dimensional stability of the knitted fabric are tested. The analysis of the experimental results shows that the fabric has good breathability, moisture permeability, wear resistance, and a soft hand feel.Overall, the fabric has better functionality, which meets the development needs of health protection knitted masks and has high application and development prospects.
