| Since the beginning of the new century, the problems of "agriculture, rural areas and farmers" have become an important obstacle to the healthy and sustainable development of China, and rural revitalization has become one of the main focuses of national construction. In recent years, rural property rights reform measures, such as the confirmation of farmland rights and the separation of the three rights, have initiated the process of rural marketization. The proposal of a series of policies, such as capital to the countryside, rural revitalization and market-oriented allocation of factors, has greatly promoted the influx of capital into the countryside and explored the efficient construction mode of capital-driven rural revitalization. Many practices have shown that capital can not only revitalize rural elements and boost rural revitalization, but also have potential risks of interest alliances and infringement of farmers’ rights and interests. Therefore, whether rural revitalization is driven by capital depends to a large extent on the behavior of capital subjects, which is mainly reflected in whether the capital and the countryside form a good interaction.Based on this logic,it is the core topic of this research to reveal the characteristics of rural reconstruction driven by capital and explore the interaction mechanism between various capital subjects and rural areas behind it.This paper firstly reviews the mechanism of rural revitalization driven by capital and embeddedness theory. In the part of the rural revitalization mechanism driven by capital, this paper summarizes the rural development process of New China and the motivation of capital involvement in the countryside, and then summarizes the rural construction mechanism of external capital from the government and market, rural endogenous capital and internal and external mixed capital. In the part of embeddedness theory, through sorting out the development context and the classical theoretical framework of the theory,it is found that the embeddedness theory is suitable for the study of the interaction between capital and countryside,so the embeddedness theory has a good applicability to the research content of this paper(Chapter 2).On the basis of literature review, this paper further clarifies the research question, that is,what restructuring has taken place in rural areas driven by capital? How do capital entities interact with the local area and then affect the rural reconstruction? Do the forms of interaction with the local area differ between different capital entities? What’s the difference? It also puts forward the hypothesis of the main embedding modes that may exist in each capital entity.Furthermore, the research framework and research methods of this paper are determined according to the research questions and assumptions(Chapter 3).On this basis, the author selects a typical case and conducts an empirical study.Through sorting out the rural development context of Wuhan since the new century, this paper finds that the "San Xiang Project" is an effective exploration of Wuhan’s rural revitalization model, and deeply analyzes the connotation of its "government + market + society" model. On this basis, according to the typification of the case, according to the administrative level from large to small,Dalu Village in Jiangxia District is finally selected as a typical case, and its revitalization process is systematically sorted out(Chapter 4);Further,it reveals the rural reconstruction driven by capital from three aspects of space, economy and society(Chapter 5).Furthermore,the embedding mechanisms of various capital entities are further explored to clarify how they affects rural reconstruction(Chapter 6).Accordingly,countermeasures and suggestions for capital embedded in rural areas are put forward to provide experience reference for the path of capital-driven rural revitalization(Chapter 7).Based on the results of the case study, this paper finds that the embedding mechanism of local enterprises, returning enterprises, governments at all levels and foreign enterprises is different due to their different attributes. |
