| In the urban public space,the city square is an important venue for people to carry out various outdoor activities,and also shows the cultural characteristics and folk customs of a city.In recent years,my country’s urbanization process has accelerated,and the urban environment has changed rapidly.Large cities face problems such as increasing population density,crowded building space,traffic jams and environmental pollution,lack of public space and natural environment,as well as indifference of interpersonal relationships and lack of urban culture.Traditional city squares have relatively single functions,are out of touch with daily life,and lack cultural characteristics,making it difficult to meet the requirements of today’s cities.Therefore,the construction of urban plaza space with multiple functions is the trend of urban plaza design development today.From the perspective of composite function design of city squares,this paper first summarizes and analyzes the relevant theories of city squares,and then analyzes the various functions that urban squares should undertake,such as leisure and entertainment,assembly performances,cultural displays,and landscape greening.External related cases discuss the design methods of the overall space and local space of the city square with multiple functions,summarize the design strategy of the city square to integrate the flow of people,meet the diverse activities,display the urban cultural characteristics,and create a pleasant public space,and guide the design of the scheme.This paper takes Yanhuang Square in Xinzheng City as an example to sort out the current situation of the square in this city.According to the requirements of contemporary cities for its complex functions,from the overall spatial structure design,functional zoning organization to the design of each part to adapt to various functional spaces,as well as traffic,landscape,greening,lighting,street furniture and facilities and other special design angles to discuss the design of urban square space complex functions. |
