Research On Two-Sided Matching Between Construction Project And Project Manager

The project manager is the key role in determining the quality of project completion.The project manager is not only a link and bridge to coordinate the interests of various stakeholders,but also a hub for various information.Assigning the right project manager is the beginning of a successful project.However,as a natural person,the project manager also has his own special needs.And the construction project,because of its "uniqueness",must also have special needs for the project manager.The project and the project manager need each other and have their own requirements,which constitutes a typical "two-sided matching problem".The research question to be answered in this paper is:How to match construction projects and project managers from the perspective of two-sided matching theory?In order to answer this question,this paper constructs a two-sided matching model between construction projects and project managers.Firstly,taking career development,influence on family and project quality as the criterion layers,the model of project managers’ demand system is constructed from the demand of project managers for construction projects through the AHP method,and the priority preference order of each project manager for each project is calculated.Secondly,the demand system model of the project is constructed from the demand of the construction project for the project manager by the AHP method,and the priority preference order of each project manager for each project is derived.Finally,according to the preference order of the project to the project manager and the preference order of the project manager to the project,the GS algorithm of two-sided matching theory is used to achieve the best matching of the project and the project manager.In order to test the proposed two-sided matching model of construction projects and project managers,the two-sided matching calculation is carried out in this paper with four actual construction projects and six real data of project managers,and after the projects run for a period of time,the operational effectiveness of the projects and the satisfaction of the project managers are interviewed respectively with good results.The effectiveness of two-sided matching theory in the problem of construction project manager assignment is initially verified.
