Research On The Evaluation Of Urban Features And Promotion Strategies In The Area Around The Ancient City River In Suzhou

With the advancement of my country’s urbanization,the protection and inheritance of urban features has received more and more attention.Suzhou is a famous historical and cultural city with rich historical relics.According to the protection plan of Suzhou’s famous historical and cultural city,Suzhou’s historical and cultural protection is divided into three spatial protection levels:city area,urban area,and historical city area.The core protected area is the historical city within the Suzhou River Ring.The protection requirements differ depending on the level of space protection.The area around the ancient city is the area on both sides of the river that needs to be coordinated with style,features and integrated protection.In 2014,China’s Grand Canal was listed as a World Heritage site,and the Suzhou River around the Ancient City of Suzhou is also an important part of the Suzhou section of the World Cultural Heritage Grand Canal.On the one hand,Suzhou Huangucheng River is the core reserve of Suzhou historical and cultural city,which brings together rich historical and cultural heritage;the external area involves a large space,four paragraphs of east,south,west and west,and the elements of style and features are various and unevenly distributed.There is a lack of overall coordination between the features of the region around the ancient city and the spatial structure of the area around the ancient city,and the overall protection and shaping are facing practical challenges.On the other hand,with the historical retrogression of the navigation function of the Huangucheng River in Suzhou,the river,which used to be dominated by water transport,has now evolved into an important spatial carrier of urban recreation,landscape,ecology and other complex functions.Therefore,it is of great significance to improve the quality of regional landscape resources and shape urban waterfront features with complex functions.The urban style includes two levels of content,namely,the hidden element"intangible" and the explicit element "tangible".In terms of dimensions,the urban style includes not only the intangible cultural heritage,folk activities,traditional operas and other elements accumulated in the development of the city;it also includes the external representation of the city and the spatial carrier of culture,that is,natural formation or artificial creation in the process of urban development.All material environmental elements of the country,such as mountains,water bodies,plants,material cultural heritage,activity space,etc.Through the analysis of the characteristic connotation and system composition of the city,this study constructed the characteristic evaluation framework of the urban characteristic element system.Through the characteristic evaluation of the compositional and structural characteristics of the ancient city river area in Suzhou,distinguished and established The style and feature system of the area around the ancient city river in Suzhou is constituted.From the perspective of the mutual support of constituent and structural style elements,as well as the protection and shaping of overall features,it analyzes real problems and proposes spatial strategies and plans for protection and enhancement of overall style and features.Suggest.It is of great significance for the continuation of the historical context of the area around the ancient city and river in Suzhou.
