Like other cities,under the background of rapid urbanization, this feature tends to weaken and die. On the basis of the study of urban spatial pattern of related concepts, summarized the theories, At the first, studied on the ancient city of jiaxian :the historical evolution process of spatial pattern and the rule of evolution and characteristics; Secondly, from the perspective of overall city,jiaxian analyzes the structural characteristics of ancient city space structure; thirdly, from the perspective of representational space, jiaxian has explored the ancient city of spatial pattern of su–bstance elements; Finally, put forward the preliminary ideas of jiaxian spatial pattern of the protection, inheritance and development.
