Research On The Landscape Design Of Green Spaces Around Suzhou Ancient River Based On The Sponge City Conception

China’s rapid urbanization process has led to a series of rainwater problems such as the destruction of natural hydrological cycles,frequent urban floods and urban water pollution.In this context,China put forward the concept of sponge city rainwater management,and carried out a positive theoretical research and pilot practice.Based on the landscape around the ancient city river in Suzhou,the paper discusses the landscape design around the river in the view of the sponge city.On the one hand,it puts forward the idea of integrating the modern rainwater management concept with historical and cultural protection in the sponge city.On the other hand,it proposed the specific methods and ways combined sponge city with landscape design.Firstly,the paper summarizes the urban rainstorm disaster,and explores its causes.Through the research on the sponge city’s development,concept,the relevant theoretical system and practical cases to clear research purpose and significance.Secondly,this paper takes the green land around the ancient city river of Suzhou as the main object,analyzes its historical development and environmental status.Through the investigation of the ancient city river green land in Suzhou,it sums up the problems of rainwater in the green land around the river in road,green land,building,square,car park and bank.Thirdly,the paper combined with the natural conditions,the status of rain and national policy of Suzhou to state the necessity and feasibility in rainwater design.Paper puts forward the principle of holism,regional,culture,ecology and artistry based on the previous research,and states the strategies in site protection,rainwater treatment,ruin protection and so on.According to the concrete rain problems in the green space of the ancient city river,the engineering measures are selected and the non-engineering measures are expounded.The paper puts forward the specific design way from the six aspects of road,terrain and plant,building,square,parking lot and bank to construct an ecological,cultural and artistic green landscape.Fourthly,the paper analyzes the design of green land in different sections,and takes Baihuazhou Park as an example to illustrate the design of the landscape with the sponge city.At last,the author summarizes the whole thesis and the shortcomings of the paper,and puts forward the future research prospects.Hope that the sponge city rainwater management concept can be better integrated with the urban landscape together,to alleviate the problem of rain while creating a more livable urban environment.
